Wolves (A)

This for me was the best system we or anyone else had. Enabled younguns to get on the ladder with the help of someone who had a load of points by using an average. Me and my brother did this through a friend of my dad’s, he helped build us up until eventually we could get mags tickets. Did the 1-1 and both 3-0’s. Took a few years of going before we got mags tickets as our points totals would’ve hindered him getting one at first but got there eventually. Was a great idea imo. I ended up around 50 points. Lost a load due to uni, getting house etc. but slowly trying to build them back up now. I don’t really know why we got rid of the average points system
An even better system would be, if people realised that they could attend matches when we are not in the Premier league.

I agree. Nee good if you’re about 15 though is it. The average system was great, if you used your high total to help your kids or whatever you’re only putting your own chances at risk by doing it so what’s the issue?

Wasn’t the official line that they weren’t allowed to hold card details while they sorted the applications so charged to phases?
Going back about 15 year so who knows.

I benefitted from the averages when I first started going away regular.

It’s a nil sum game.

For everyone it was great for there’s another person who loses out on a ticket for a big game.

Personally, I think it’s open to abuse. Six fellas on 90+ points getting their window cleaner on 0 points a Saudi ticket wouldn’t be fair.

A bigger issue now would be choice of seating. Under averaging, you got given a seat, whether it was where you wanted to be or not. Probably what caused the "sit where you like" phenomenon. Bloody useless if you have any kind of mobility problem.

Took the bairn to Brighton this season and I certainly won’t be doing next year 😂 woudl you be up for been able to buy a kids ticket the way we used to get away tickets? So say I’m on 60 points and the boys on 2 62 in total between us averaged out and out in which ever phase it falls? So the next gen fans can start building points? Curious on peoples thoughts on this
It would work in my favour. I have a 10 year old cousin who is absolutely obsessed, had a season ticket for a couple years, managed to get him tickets to Port Vale, Everton and a couple of aways in the 2 years before that, but only 1 was on his account. In the future I'm going to have to risk not getting my ticket at all to wait to get him one with us, bearing in mind I don't believe for a second this idea that there's a "novelty" that will wear off I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I suppose they could do an application window then a phased seat selection window once successful. Drags out the process like.

I wouldn't be against it but for me if you do that you have to declare it at the start of the sales window.
So if it doesn't go down to 30 points then you're both screwed.

Should be declared start of season if anything like that was to come in mate. So everyone knew what happens. Would benefit the boy massively. Hopefully the club introduce something potentially risk younger kids missing out at such a young age. Iv been lucky and ‘sourced’ a few this season for the boy.

There's absolutely no chance of it happening though as our ticket office struggle to sell tickets in a normal manner never mind if they had to take into account a family sharing points.
Would probably need someone to do it manually via a spreadsheet 🤯

I've done similar last couple of years. Waited for phase 4 for both Villa and Wolves knowing I might have missed out altogether. Only way to build their points is taking a chance yourself.
