Wolves (A)

With this being our final away of the season - Including women’s games etc. how many loyalty points could SC holders pick up this season?

Just Everton? Or did Huddersfield count?
Yeah only Everton and Huddersfield both in cup that SCH could’ve got tickets for. Dare say those complaining about points didn’t bother going to the SOL for the Huddersfield game

Everton and Huddersfield down to SC holders. Huddersfield probably general sale really.

For those on 10+ point, the following games were available I think
  • Huddersfield (open to everyone I guess, even general sale),
  • Everton (guaranteed at 10+),
  • Port Vale,
  • West Ham (an almost impossible lottery),
  • Villa (ditto),
  • Wolves.
No points available for women's game or other "special" like Sheffield United new years day last season as far as I know

Hmm, obviously a very unusual season. But let’s hope for more home cup games, and midweek/ Monday night aways next season to allow these groups to build points if they can.

Hopefully the club consider making pre-season games worth a point, as well as some under 23s etc. as well.

hopefully the club don't do this, the club cant just hand out loyalty points for fun.

1 point for an under 23 game at hetton or wherever they play is the same value as a 500 mile trip to London .

hopefully the club have learnt from the shit show last season awarding loyalty points for woman's games and league home game.

I started on 14. Huddersfield got me in the phase 3 lotto for Man Utd and I got a ticket. Should’ve had an Everton ticket but waited for my brother and mates son thinking we’d easily get one in the second phase and 5k tickets just evaporated. Managed to bag one in the West Ham lottery. Failed in the Port Vale and Villa lotteries. Secured a Wolves ticket today so sticks me on 18. Can’t see Everton dropping to a last phase lottery so that’ll be me. I lose 5 in the summer I think so I’ve made enough to keep my head above 10. Hopefully similar scenarios next season and can keep plugging away as I think I lose 6 or 7 the summer after so then I’m in trouble.

I think the system is as good as it gets as long as it isn't abused.

Even as a mid teens pointer I'll have gained more points this season than I'll lose in the summer when I'll lose 3.

I'll have been away 3 times this season (twice in the cup) and I think that's more than fair when I didn't want to make the effort and commit to the costs of travelling to Cardiff, Swansea, Norwich etc in seasons past.

Fine. But if you have a season ticket for the first time this season or next. How can you build points?

Mid teens is very different to starting on zero right now like.

Next season It’ll be five years since we were last in league one and nearly ten since our double relegation. There’s a generation of fans, people who have moved back to the area, who can afford to go now etc. etc. who need the opportunity to do the “hard yards”. Nobody is saying skip the queue, but they do need a chance somehow.

Ideally a few more home cup games, a few bigger cup aways (Bolton, Wigan etc.) and a couple of shitty midweek aways to Brighton etc. to give people a chance .

Il lose 11 this summer then after that I lose more than I can gain 🤦😂 baring a good cup run

It’s been impossible to build up points this season but people had plenty of chances in the three Championship seasons. My brother only had about 7/8 points when we got promoted from League One he’s on 60+ now.

To be fair, there's nobody disputing that. It's more about if people will be able to build points next season, and the season after, now. Hopefully we see demand drop a bit now there's been fans who have been to all the big grounds etc. We were promoted from League One five years ago now after all.

Say you're a 18 year old on three points now after this season, and the time and desire to travel all over the country and do the "hard yards" - will you have the chance to build another 7 or 8 next season to get you over the 10 points, into the next phase up. Or will that group essentially be locked out and unable to buiold the points- because it always sells out at 10 points plus?

We'd hate to be in a situation where in five years it's the exact same people building points and loads on basically no points because they lose the few they build with the rolling situation.

Why would we hate to be in that situation though? It’s the same faces who 5 year ago were there all the time in League One? If they get to keep all their points that’s fair enough. I don’t see how they can change it?

That's what some people are wanting though.

I'm sorry but it's just unfortunate that if kids are just starting to go to games now and want to go to aways that there has been no opportunity this year.
That's just life and how circumstances fall. You can't punish the other kids who started doing L1 and Champ games because the other ones are ready for it now.

It's probably all irrelevant though as I'd be amazed if there isn't an opportunity to build points next year.
The likes of Brighton, West Ham, Fulham, Palace, Forest and Coventry will not be a priority for a lot next year, possibly a few others depending on if they are not Saturday 3pms.

Ideally more cup games, if we can establish ourselves in the premier league we should be seeing 3-6 cup games a season. If we get into Europe then there’s even more, plus there’s extra costs with them so some people will have to make a choice between a league game and a game in Europe.

Absolutely. I had 1 halfway thru the 1st championship season and have 66 now.

Took the bairn to Brighton this season and I certainly won’t be doing next year 😂 woudl you be up for been able to buy a kids ticket the way we used to get away tickets? So say I’m on 60 points and the boys on 2 62 in total between us averaged out and out in which ever phase it falls? So the next gen fans can start building points? Curious on peoples thoughts on this

This for me was the best system we or anyone else had. Enabled younguns to get on the ladder with the help of someone who had a load of points by using an average. Me and my brother did this through a friend of my dad’s, he helped build us up until eventually we could get mags tickets. Did the 1-1 and both 3-0’s. Took a few years of going before we got mags tickets as our points totals would’ve hindered him getting one at first but got there eventually. Was a great idea imo. I ended up around 50 points. Lost a load due to uni, getting house etc. but slowly trying to build them back up now. I don’t really know why we got rid of the average points system
