Ross Stewart

Catching up on podcasts from the last few days, I found this comment by Barry Glendenning odd.

“I was delighted for Ross Stewart, the Loch Ness drogba, he’s a former Sunderland player who didn’t really get a chance, his Sunderland career was sort of ruined by injury but the club made a nice few quid on him when they sold him to Southampton”

Yes he had his injury issues here but it seems insane to say he didn’t really get a chance, and his time here was ruined by injury

I heard that as well, it felt like he was going to say “didn’t get a chance in the PL with Southampton” and started talking about us for some reason

Think it was just rambling, as Barry is known to do at times

Didn't he play virtually every game in the League One promotion season? Remarkable we got a full season out of him looking back.

Over the moon for him
Hopefully he can fire them to promotion
One of most selfless forwards I’ve seen for us, a really good player, 100% effort week in week out, without him we don’t get out of league one, had he been for first year we were in championship under Mowbray I think we’d of won those play offs

I do too. Partly because he'd have headed at least one of those Luton corners away

I don't think we would have needed the playoffs.

Think he has a good chance of making it into the Scotland squad for the World Cup? Not aware of any other Scottish strikers as good as him when he’s fit and firing.

You think we knew that, and had Southampton's pants down? Or are you just making stuff up?
REad my post again snowflake, what did I say that wasn't factual? It was good business whatever way ypu look at it.

We struggled to replace him, but eventually did with Isidor who was more than decent foe us last year.
