Durham v Kent (h) C.C. ( 3/4/26)

Having lost so much time - why can't they just start at 10.30 & make up 10 overs or so?

The light & conditions are hardly any different then than at 11.00

County cricket & it's umpires really seems to lack any flexibility / common sense
Just cricket full stop on starting early to make up overs.

They'd sharp start getting through overs quicker in test cricket if they had to play 10:00-18:30 every day to make up overs.

Even if we did get the extra overs, these umpires would probably find some excuse to come off so we dont get the full whack in.

These umpires do not seem to want to do a full day's play.

Just arrived at the ground and the scaffolding is still there laying across the seats. One of the covers is still in the trapdoor stand, and they’ve wheeled a new site screen under the media centre. What was the scaffolding even for? And why did they need to put a site screen over the scaffolding when they could’ve just put this new site screen there?

The scaffolding was for the camera due to the pitch being further across.

Save money and effort using it for both.

How f***ing amateur to leave it all lying there. They had all day and night to move it all. Didn't fancy paying bank holiday rates for removal.

No way these umpires hang around for the full 96, so I reckon we need to bat no more than 20 overs - hoy the bat and run hard (we’ve got the batsmen to do it) - then get bowling. No reason why we can’t get up beyond 350 ahead in that time and then we’ll see what Kent are made of.

When do we think Durham will declare? I imagine they will want approx 80 overs at Kent which gives them just over 10 overs to get above 300.

The ball that got Clark seemed to stand up. Hopefully there’s going to be a bit of uneven bounce in the wicket.
