Scouts of RTG recommend some signings

i'd definitely be looking at Folarin Balogun for striker.
Yeah will probably cost us 50m, but that's the going rate for a decent striker

counts as home grown too

50 million on a striker that isn't as good as brobbey, no ta

Think the Xhaka understudy is a difficult one as they basically won’t see the pitch unless Granit gets injured. Might be tough to sell that to someone like Morton. I’d be tempted to just get hold of squad cover on a year’s deal for that role before actually spending good money on a player ready to try to take the shirt off him in 27. A freebie who is homegrown to sit on the bench for a year would be ideal. Someone like Harry Winks would do for the (very limited) role.

I think there's an argument that he'd play ahead of Sadiki/Diarra plenty and let's not forget, we'll have 3 cup competitions to compete in too! :)

In all seriousness though, a double pivot could work as the next evolution of our tactics, giving that solidity and protection in a different way that gives our wide players more freedom.

For £50m, he'd have to play every single week and I can't imagine he would. Brobbey is not only excellent, but he suits our current style. Balogun would offer more if you're getting the ball into his feet, facing defenders or in the channels, but would he be as effective, back to goal with limited service?

All of these lads would probably cost more than we would rate them, but there is need for homegrown in the long term.
The homegrown lads that are abroad seem to still be better value than those in the premier league or championship albeit still having a homegrown valuation uplift. It would make sense to try for 2/3 homegrown players if we can. It’s not too urgent this season as we have a few U21’s that don’t have to be named but next season it could become a problem for squad size.

I would love us to sign Tyler Morton but he would probably cost about 25-35 million and would have Xhaka to compete with, but I reckon long term would be ideal. He is probably someone aiming higher.

Shame Cirkin and Patto will be away for homegrown status.

Ryan Sessegnon? Out of contract this summer. Bags of premier league experience. Would count as home grown. Competition for Reinildo.

I'd take him but I think Palace, Brentford/ West Ham or back to Spurs if they stay up will probably appeal to him more given he wants to stay in and around London.

I was going to suggest the Derby striker (Agyemang)?

Just realised he’s picked up a serious injury so that’s off the table.

We also need some home grown players. Harry Wilson seems an obvious one but he’ll have most of the league going for him.

I was thinking of someone like Christian Norgaard. Not seen much action at Arsenal and obviously bought as back up there, but I'm sure he would have expected to see more game time, even though I think he did play last night.

Just can't see him getting much of a look in there next season and they may move him on for cheap.

Aye I guess the problem then becomes whether he can get enough game time at our place with a (hopefully) fit Xhaka ahead of him. My suspicion is that we'd either need to get someone a bit lower profile who'd just be happy to be there (which makes it tough to get the right quality) or Reg would need to change his approach to team selection - and Granit would have to accept more rotation!

Or get big Nec Triantis back to be Granite's understudy 😆
