I want to see us work out how to play effectively in the absence of Xhaka
We have to admit when he doesn’t play we looked like relegation fodder.
Hume is a decent premier league footballer but no way does he anywhere near fill the void when Xhaka is unavailable
Maybe it’s Rigg ( big shout maybe ) but for all he’s young he reads the game well and has the technique to back it up. He seems to be getting to grips with the physical side where he struggled in earlier games

Your question was do we try to win every game OR experiment, with a view for next season (you've said that to test where we are short, so we can address for next season).

Experimenting is trying new things. That's different to a manager going with a trusted formula, adapting to the opposition or tweaking things during a game if it's not going well. The latter is standard/expected management tbh.

You're talking about tactics as if they're some ethereal mystery where the only way to find out if they're going to work is to fling your poop at a dartboard to see what sticks.

The club knows where our weaknesses lie and will undoubtedly attempt to address them in the transfer window.

And as a side note, we're using different tactics all the time. Sometimes 4 or 5 distinct tactics in the same match. What exactly do you think we're not already doing that you think we should be "experimenting with"?
 
We will be as competitive as possible. Last year was unique because our position was secure and we only had a single goal. A higher finish bings a number of benefits- taking our foot off the gas conveys no benefits if you mean preseason

Personally I would try to try out new tactics to improve our attacking threat. We can't stand still and repeat tactics. People find you out and will find it easier to annul you. Standing still is going backwards.
I am amazed by our results this season - but there can be no let up - this league is relentless - Forest are an example - they are a good side with one world class player and a lot of excellent players - and still relatively in danger of relegation.

I would suggest the Club wants as many points as possible
League positions per place is quite a nice sum in prize money
 
I would love to see us qualify for Europe by the skin of our teeth finishing 6 points ahead of the mags.

It would be poetry knowing that those 6 easy points were exactly what stopped them from qualifying.

I imagine that someone as intelligent as Le Bris would be looking forward to the next season already. It would be logical to see who could fit in with his new tactical proposals seeing that we are safe.
