Jimmy Anderson

Praying the selectors pick the right team for Old Trafford. Jimmy should not be playing

Wood needs to play not be rested. Robinson needs a rest whilst Tongue should be picked
Spot on, if Anderson plays for sentimental reasons then England loose .
Stokes and McCullum must be brave and don’t recall Jimmy…. but sadly I bet they will pick him.

They will pick him because they think he will be the best person to help take 20 wickets. He had 2 bad games but before this series pretty much everyone would agree he was our best bowler and still one of the best in the world

Depends if they've asked for a flat deck and want to bowl short, that doesn't play into Jimmy's skillset. On the other hand, Manchester has been wet and muggy recently, probably ideal for swing. For all they talk of loyalty etc I agree in that I don't think Stokes and McCullum will pick him because it might be his last test at Old Trafford.

You said it ,he WAS our best bowler, honestly think it’s a Test too far Jimmy.
Agreed they will pick him , as he’ll want to continue until he reaches 700 wickets even at the detriment of the team.

Anderson on says he hated every minute of the 16.4.

Another player speaks out on everything that is wrong with English cricket.

Quick summary, he's old, his body hurts, the hundred gets a passing mention, weird dark corner of SAFC message board translates as above.

Speaking out on everything that is wrong with English cricket this was not.

No surprise he hated it. He's a skilful and thinking cricketer.

He's old,his body hurts would be totally suited to the Hundred-pick up a tidy sum for bowling 4 overs. He simply prefers a more onerous 4 days where his superb bowling skills aren't neutralized by restrictions to favour the batter.

a multi millionaire who played at peak of cricket for 20 plus years, i bet theres plenty others especially around his age that have had to or near retirement that would kill for £30k for 4 weeks work
