This is the problem. The likes of Downie compare them to clubs way ahead of them and it builds expectations. That always bites them on the backside

You dont hear it from other clubs. No one at Palace goes on like that, and theyve won a more prestigious trophy in recent times
 
It looks to me that they've used the only ace that was up their sleeve to buy Wissa, Woltemade, Elanga etc

Its stupid really that clubs can do this to get around PSR but I've been saying for ages that Newcastle are rubbish at manipulating PSR, this stadium sale is just what Chelsea etc would of done ages ago.

If it's the clip I saw, he doesn't even mention the stadium sale. Just states that they made a profit.

On this stadium sale trick, has it just been done to put them back in the black. Was there potential to inflate the sale figure putting them in a much stronger position for next season, but decided not to?

I think they would have had PSR sanctions if they didn't
 
It’s very clear why they have done it which is to keep ahead of PSR and to be able to buy some players. I would imagine the owners are really chuffed with Eddie Howe who let’s be honest alongside his nephew has blown something like 200 million English pounds on absolute crap. This sale is to cover the losses their hopeless manager has cost them.

I dont think this is PSR. That changes soon. This is exit strategy.

PIF now own two unique entities. The club and the stadium.

They can sell them independently. If they flog NUFC they can demand rent from new owners. Plus it means they can separate income from events/concerts from the loss making football side of the business

If new (football side) owners decide they want a new ground, PIF have the lease to prime real estate and partners in the Reubens who develop exactly that.

PIF cant lose.

This is not a good deal for football fans.

They have well they’ve sold the lease hold of I’ve read rightly. So now don’t own the land it’s built on as that’s freemans and now the leasehold of the stadium has been sold so they don’t own that either technically. But they’ve sold it to another pif business so just shifted it around in reality. But if shit went south then Saudi could be right buggers.
