World Cup

Think it’ll be shit. One it’s in America. Two, the times on the west coast will be shit. And three there’s far too many teams there.
All o' this.

And I just can't get interested in this England side, though I'll probably come round a bit once it starts.

kick off times will put a right dent in it

first game Mexico v South Africa is 8pm a thursday night in UK time, but the next game is friday morning at 3am

generally speaking the kick off times for us are 9pm, 11pm, 1am, 3am etc.. although theres a few group games at 5pm kick off

england could have a last 32 game at 4am on a friday

i always do once it starts, but the lead up, the friendlies, the debates on who should be 'on the plane' and all that shite, i just can't be arsed.

get the first game on and get the team organised and i'll get excited
Can’t wait for all you lot to be banging on about it coming home only to get pumped out.

i see Scotlands first game is at 2am on a sunday morning, gonna be some absolute states

Got no expectations which is a good thing, we have done well with no expectations. The times are crap mind and the decision to have it spread across 3 countries is shocking

The expansion is not a positive change
The kick off times take away from the excitement
The likely insufferable Americanisms
Trumps face
Slow, boring, negative football

Of course ill be up for it when it comes round but certainly not feeling the excitement of past competitions.

Yep combination of the ridiculous number of games and teams, fans being ripped off, Donald Trump and seemingly half the England team being drawn from a north east based Saudi club’s dozy squad of losers
This is the worst thing for me.

The previous format that's been in place since '98 was ideal.

Now there's 40 odd teams there. Neebodies like Curacao and Scotland involved. 3rd placed teams going through to an extra knockout round.

It's not even gonna be interesting 'til about 4 games in.

Have we not?

I'm so detached at the minute I'm not sure.

But we were finalists in the last tournament.

I think we should be going with some level of expectation.

Sunderland being mint again changes things a bit anarl.

Sometimes England can be a welcome distraction.

Couldn't really care less when the wizards are in flow.

Even less excited than Qatar. Silly kick-off times, players like Trent claiming it's "Madrid and nothing else", led by a German (I'm a big believer that international football should be you against us mentality and therefore all staff should be English) and pretty much every nation besides Iran attending. Oh, not to mention American TV and the ads that come with it. 🤢
