Dan Neil

I watched them on Saturday and it was as bad a perfomance from him as you’ll ever see. He gave the ball away every time he had it then fouled the player, trying to get it back.
He used to do that a lot for us but loads couldn’t see it or refused to accept it

There were a few of us on here tried to say he was absolutely nowhere near premier league level for ages and got told how wrong we were. He was never anything flash.

Dan Neil’s had a mixed spell since arriving on loan from Sunderland. Some games he’s been sloppy in possession, giving the ball away too easily. Other times he’s looked sharp, putting in strong challenges, driving forward and even getting a few shots away.

He’d barely featured for Sunderland this season, so coming into a competitive midfield like ours was never going to be easy. Still, he’s young, and captaining Sunderland to a playoff win shows the kind of character he has.

Whether he stays will depend on the other targets the club is looking at. Is he good enough for the Premier League? The jury’s still out.

Sounds familiar.

This is the Neil we saw less of because he had to play DM all the time. I always preferred him a bit further forward, like he was when he got a couple of goals running into the box (1 at home v Norwich iirc imho)

Yet if he had signed a contract he would have been playing Premiership football this season.
We don’t know how he would adjust. In all probability he would be a squad player at best, albeit that is still important.
If he wants to play every week he needs to be in championship now as he’s lost a years development time
jobe & Neil don’t even play for Sunderland anymore and are still getting slated

You would think they were part of rancid sides in our last two relegations.
Hero’s both of them … we have some fickle fans

If we didn't get promoted half of the team would have left and you want to talk about being fickle.
Jobe had already signed for Dortmund before the season was over and you want to use words talking about loyalty 😂

Footballers only care about their career and you want the club and fans to show loyalty towards millionaire footballers? get a grip.

Neil is a average championship midfielder who wouldn't get in any prem team, not even wolves.
