Spurs be lucky to stay up

If relegated, they will be in trouble as I can't imagine many players wanting to stay but can't imagine many clubs putting in offers bearing in mind their salaries. Will become a toxic environment
If they did go down, wouldn't that defender they have out on loan, Luka Vuskovic, he looks unreal for a 19 year old
Think that Simmons is on £190k a week as is a couple of others and I doubt they put in relegation clauses, could be wrong though
Not only that but they have a fancy new stadium. I doubt when they built it they had relegation in mind. Such a shame, oh well

Hope you lads can help put a nail in the coffin

Could get interesting if (as rumoured) City are docked 60 points and relegated. No doubt they’d appeal but how could any clubs affected at the top and particularly the bottom of the PL plan for the season after not knowing which league they might be in or whether they need to bolster the squad for European football.

There's no way City would get a penalty like that with just a few games to go. Personally I don't think they will get a significant points penalty or relegation.

I read something on their situation last week.

Apparently Levy had a sound financial footing when he was there, the ground is financed on a long term low interest basis, and all players had relegation clauses in their contracts.

Whether the new people in charge have carried this 9ver may be tested next season...

Nor do I. I think, at worst, they will be docked 30-40 points (means they still stay up) and a year transfer ban (that they will already have mitigated) and a fine. The fine will be a record fine (EPL will spin that as harsh) that will hurt City like losing a shiny 20p piece hurts me.

Anyone seriously believes city will get even a point reduction still believes in Father Christmas & the tooth fairy

I can't see how they don't start next season on a point deduction. It would set a president for clubs to start suing the FA.

Don;t know if it will be as high as 60 but 30/40 isn't a bad punt.

If there are some guilty verdicts arising from the 115 charges and the punishment is significant, then city will appeal. The original panel concluded their review in 12 weeks, by December 2024 followed by 15 months of ongoing deliberation. On appeal City have the right to a new 3 person panel being appointed in order to review the work and conclusions of the first panel. Could take as long as a year.

Then, if new panel find them guilty, their hideously expensive lawyers find a means to appeal that judgement.
When you have their level of wealth a protracted legal bill (as long as is needed) doesn’t make a dent. If guilty the only punishment that is (a) fair and (b) will act as a deterrent is relegation, all competitions won to be stripped and a big transfer ban.
I expect non of the above to happen.

I suspect it will be somewhere between 1 and just enough to retain their european qualification place. Whether that be CL or Europa I'm not sure of.
Trouble is nobody knows if City have even been found guilty on any single charge yet. So everything is pure guess work. Punishment for guilty determinations can range from small financial penalties to expulsion from the Premier League.

There is no appeal beyond a second panel, they've agreed to that iirc.

Levy isn't there anymore is he?
Still his fault. It was always Levy’s fault.
I worked with a group of Spurs fans. EVERYTHING was his fault.
He didn’t spend enough.
He sold best players.
He made poor appointments.
Etc, etc.
Now he is gone, or at least isn’t running the club, they are getting progressively worse. Odd that.

Because they’ve been appointing the wrong managers, not signing the wrong players.
Yeah, they’ve had shocking luck with injuries, but sacking Frank was a massive mistake. If they’d stuck with him, they’d probably be safe by now. The whole thing was a panic move because the fans piled pressure on the owner, and it’s backfired completely

Levy was the Spurs equivalent of Mike Ashley. Joni Mitchell vibes incoming.......
