Issue with Roefs?

we plucked Roefs out of nowhere. not like he was well known. if he does have a release clause it'll not be for anything cheap. the aforementioned 40m being banded about i think we'd sell at that kind of money anyway regardless of a clause

Daft question possibly but are we known as a club that puts in clauses? -ànd where has this come from ( apologies if seb )

ELF away..??
Saw it somewhere today marra that Arsenal were looking at him ?-probs bollocks but my point generally is it seems every few weeks one of our players is linked with a top side -long may it continue for me -much better than some players we’ve had that née one wanted
Continue recruiting well -re investing ànd moving onwards and upwards-tremendous time to be a lads fan

Always liked ELF but have been very impressed by his work rate and tackling this season as well as the obvious...mental to think we managed to get him in the Championship, I know we will let players move on but would be gutted if he left so soon.

The RLB effect got him here.

Me too -àny if then tbh -I can see us really kicking on next season if we recruit well again ànd keep most together

I think we might have enough leaving that are not needed to bring in sufficient funds to avoid a big sale or at least limit it to one.
Patto, Masuaku, Seelt, Hjelde, Adingra and Isidor will probably go and could bring in around 40m combined.

Roefs seems a shrewd cookie. I would have thought that he’s loving it here and would benefit from sticking around to continue to improve, consolidate his position as a premier league keeper, and also enjoy his football. He is a very young age for a keeper, most reach their peak in their late 20s.

He has plenty of time, and although we will be happy to sell players at good prices, we would also be wanting to keep some of our most influential ones, and he falls into that category.

Keep the spine of the team very strong
Roefs-Ballard Alderete-xhaka lev fee Sidiki -Brobbey
That’s some strength we have developed and some value

ELF is another one who won't go. Le Bris is like a dad to him. He'll still be here next season.

It'll be Isidor who goes most likely and the players already out on loan will leave. We don't need to sell anyone because our books are fine.

After listening to Xhaka in the interviews he has done, I would think the young players would like to stick around for a year or two to benefit from his experience.

I can’t see many if any of the first team regulars wanting away at the end of the season , the team spirit and general good feeling with the fans will be enough to keep them at least another season.

Wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if some of the fringe players are moved on straight away , to help finance any new recruits.

Depends on whether other clubs make their intentions known. Heads can easily be turned when some clubs call.

Footballers are fickle it’s a job and if you get offered a perceived promotion ans pay rise elsewhere most people will consider it seriously.

The only way the model works is for it to be allowed to work. We need to get used to selling important players for top fees and reinvesting the money wisely. In fact I’d say we’re part way there already given sales of the likes of LND, Clarke and Jobe recently.

I see him as similar too trossard hes 5/6 years younger so I could see it tbh, but at a team like arsenal you can easily become lost with the amount of players they have and find yourself not playing regularly
