Started to show it v Brighton but today was a different challenge.Came of age today, Best performance fir us today
He's only 18 but has been outstanding last season. Big step up but he's stood up when asked. Apart from Brentford away he's done OK when he has played.
Never doubted his ability but was starting to think that a loan next season would be the best thing for him as he had looked pretty short of confidence this season. Was one of the few bright spots against Brighton though and his performance today will be the making of him as a Premier League player. And people on here wanted him to loan him out![]()
I admit that I was one of them, thinking we had enough class in Midfield to let him out on loan. Truth is that he's about on par with Diarra in ability and has the energy to burn; engine room stuff. And people on here wanted him to loan him out![]()
Don't talk daft.He did alright considering his age and size. Nobody's disputing that he has a good touch and can play.
It's obvious that his natural position is like a Bryan Robson: playing around the middle of the pitch, dictating the game with brute force more than anything else, good engine and can get around the pitch including box to box, loves a tackle.
He's not gonna get picked to do that here, at the moment. Best thing that can happen to the lad is loan him out to a competitive league where he gets to play in his natural position week in week out. He would develop a lot quicker in that scenario.
"You're a nuisance, son"Don't talk daft.
He's here to stay and improve and compete with others for a spot.
