Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

On the other thread a poster put pics up of Sid James, old Trafford and a few others and all had upper level exits and roughly had 3+ times the amount of exit tunnels per end than we do .
There’s your main problem . Everything else is incidental
I went to en England game up the road in 2004, and the Gallowgate end has three concourse levels. Nowt salubrious about them at the time, but it disperses people much better.

I saw our reserves up there in around 2008 and their tiny east stand even has two levels. They’re tiny, but again, people aren’t all funnelled to the same place.

There will always be people, who for whatever reason, choose to leave early.

Banging on about it on here is pointless because it will change nothing.

Some people may have long drives to get home and getting ahead of the traffic can ease that journey, some people might be meeting friends in town, some people are not that passionate about the team and while they like the games they don’t feel welded to their seat untill the end.

Some people might think “I’ve had enough of this” and want to go home.

On the flip side some people want to stay till the end, some want to clap the players off etc etc.

It’s all fair and about individual choice. We had these threads for years with the same topics getting aired time and time again.

My two bobs worth, I really don’t care if people want to leave early. They have paid their money they can do what they like. I stayed till the end of every game in the 19 and 15 point seasons but many didn’t. Who’s the fool, me or them?

I’m not going to get my knickers in a twist about it.

Must be SEB and feel stupid for asking but: can the Club not just close the doors? Wondered if it violates some human right to walk out of stuff, but I remember as a young man me and me mate once wanted to leave in the first half (Michael Proctor, I’m looking at you) and I seem to remember the doors being closed and we had to wait until after half-time, I think. So why can’t they do it until full-time?

I completed a survey from SAFC a couple of days ago, loads of stuff asked about match day stuff, arrival time etc, nowt about views on early leavers🤷‍♂️

They’ve paid their money, if they want to walk out with faces like smacked arses when we go two goals down, they can.
