there has to have been a pattern of dodgy activity like. Someone’s grassed I reckonFair play to them
I know the vast majority of branches and their members abide by the rules. It's the few who don't who are spoiling it for the people who do what they are supposed to
Still think there has to be more to this than is being aired here though
Exactly....the ones who have kicked up a fuss already have the points and go to all the away games...like Norris off Coronation Street they are.Ha’way man, it’s not a totalitarian society. It may be the odd ticket being passed onto someone else - is it really that important? It sounds to me like a good few who have bought them legitimately are being banned and their proof isn’t even being considered.
Just shite on behalf of the club for me. I bet they don’t do it to corporate types who do the same?
i thought it wasn't a branch?Because some people devote a big chunk of their life to running branches and helping their fellow fans.
Branches have always had an allocation and, as someone who went home and away for most of my time supporting, it wasn’t an issue, even if I missed-out on the odd one. For me, they’re an essential part of our fanbase and this is unnecessary
it’s not a totalitarian society.
Not my mates as such just people recognise from aways.Yep. Or a mandatory ID check at the SOL on Sunday morning for the 65 - crap, but still much better than what they’ve done. ‘PR stunt’ is the right term.
Hope your mates get sorted at 12.
40 has been mentioned which makes sense.
He’s been told to take the group down, but as far as I know he hasn’t been banned though has he? That could well still happen based on thisHe's already had contact from the club and essentially been served a cease and desist
I know of at least one branch where the woman running it has a list of numbers she rings to ask if they are going to away games and if not their number is used to buy a ticket which is then passed on to fill their busHa’way man, it’s not a totalitarian society. It’s always been that way. They have always had an allocation.i thought it wasn't a branch?
besides that, being a member of a branch should not give anyone a better chance of a ticket than anyone else on the same amount of points.
Exactly mate, it’ll be some snidey twat who has grassed them. That's what they want. They're obsessed with the rules and health and safety. Probably all started with some fans group and it being put on the agenda, and/or someone snidey and jealous of the lad who organised the tickets and took a bit for himself.
Why would you begrudge kids especially getting tickets though?? We all started off by getting tickets from people..we can't dismiss this generation....we need them.I know of at least one branch where the woman running it has a list of numbers she rings to ask if they are going to away games and if not their number is used to buy a ticket which is then passed on to fill their bus
You can see from the away ticket threads on here that people do think it is important
My neighbour and his son have been to every away game this season and neither have more than a handful of black cat points to their name. Daughter's schoolfriends are not even STH and have been to loads this season
Whether people like it or not, the problem is more widespread than they think and I assume the PL are insisting that the club crack down on it
I don't agree with taking tickets off people who have bought and attended every game and all that has happened is someone else has actually logged on and bought them though. While we will never see the background to what has gone into this it would have been better, imo, running it via ID checks at Villa, Wolves, Everton to achieve the same outcome and if people were failing ID checks cos they had sold their ticket on then they can have no complaints.
To be fair it has been changed so branches only have phase 1 where they get their ring fenced tickets which is fair enoughi thought it wasn't a branch?
besides that, being a member of a branch should not give anyone a better chance of a ticket than anyone else on the same amount of points.
and is that really a huge problem? To me, it’s fair enough. It’s always been that way and will be again when we inevitably end-up shite again.I know of at least one branch where the woman running it has a list of numbers she rings to ask if they are going to away games and if not their number is used to buy a ticket which is then passed on to fill their bus

and always been abused. only themselves to blame imo but like i said apparently it wasn't a branch. It’s always been that way. They have always had an allocation.
I don’t think they doi thought it wasn't a branch?

i last travelled on a branch from about '85 to 2000 so might have changed. never really needed tickets apart from the big games. To be fair it has been changed so branches only have phase 1 where they get their ring fenced tickets which is fair enough
It was unfair last year when they got their tickets processed before a phase started
I dunno man, it’s like a game of guess who.No man![]()
Has it been clarified yet whether they have been banned, or just had their tickets taken off them for this game? While both are shit (in my opinion), one is still worse than the other.Seems a bit heavy handed to blanket ban all 65 of them
