Les Disques Omnison (a Paris based record label) have a showcase event at The Lubber Fiend (Newcastle) tonight with four artists on. Had a listen to some of the artists playing and should be an interesting night.

Could've fancied seeing Andrew Wasylyk at Gosforth Civic Theatre tomorrow but won't be able to make that. Wonder if Field Music are going to appear as they've done a song together on his new album.

Not sure, they cancelled the summer shows but not sure if they are waiting off on the winter ones or what. Tickets still for sale, will.obviiusly wait until nearer the time to get them.

More wanting to go to see Willy Mason as support tbh though I do like the Lemonheads. Dando is a bit fucked in the head though and probably does need the help.

Saw the Lemonheads on his/their last tour. It was utterly shambolic, really shit, but then the odd moment that was outstanding.
His plan to come off drugs by just taking acid doesn't seem to have done his mental health much good surprisingly.

Yeah I read his book recently and whilst it was a good read it felt like there was a lot left out that didn't add up given his reputation.

That whole era of grunge bands and others who fit in around the time is mostly tragic. At least he's alive to get help I guess.

It's definitely the thought process of a junkie but I guess maybes he wasn't ready to go cold turkey and thought getting rid of the smack and crack would still be forward thinking approach if he was overall lessening his drug intake.

Reality is just go to rehab and let the professionals help you.

Got tickets for Midway Still at the Little Buildings in July, tiny venue beside the Tanners in Ouseburn. They played the old Riverside club few times in the 90s, don't gig much nowadays
