100%. I think people are over estimating the popularity of visiting Brighton / West Ham again.
This year I’ll do every away game bar Everton in the cup when I was in holiday. Mainly because it’s a novelty being in the prem, and we’ve had a great season.
There’s no chance I’ll do every away game next season, if it means another hotel in Liverpool for a night game, using annual leave etc.
We’ve also had a lot of 3pm aways this year which has made it easier than I expected. Throw in a few Monday nights or Sunday evenings etc. and demand will drop.
same as me. i'll hopefully complete every league away game this season - its been a struggle but i was determined at the start of the season mainly cos i thought we'd be probably go straight back down. theres absolutely no way i'll be doing brentford away midweek and spurs away on a sunday etc.. probably be even more sunday games next season.
obviously i go away as i love following sunderland, but a massive part of it has always been the whole 'saturday away on the drink with the lads' and weekends/nights away places. you just can't do that with midweek games and sunday games. i'll probably limit myself to mostly saturday away games next season.
i think next season demand will drop off. not saying they'll start dropping to zero points, but for instance if 7000 were wanting to go to fulham away this season, i think maybe 4000 will want to go next season. seeing how theres less than 3000 tickets, it'll still easily sell out, but demand will be less.
