There’s an article in The Times this morning regarding Slot saying how difficult it now is for wingers to excel in the PL because of the increased speed and physicality of the full backs. He says that is why right footed wingers no longer play on the right and lefties on the left - they generally don’t have a pace advantage over the full backs and therefore can’t get down the line to whip in a cross. Instead they play on the opposite side and cut in.
Don’t know how correct this is, but that is what Slot is saying.
