Some discussion points could be valid, if people have genuine concerns about travelling there.

Despite tourist numbers worldwide continuing to increase , tourist numbers to the USA are down by 6% in the past year. People are obviously worried about it

Personally I think you'll be fine as long as you behave yourself

As long as they haven’t entered the country illegally whilst being a criminal they will be fine.

Although may rule a few out :-)

When I was living in Austin, TX, and my son was playing youth soccer, it wasn't uncommon for European clubs to hold skills camps in the area. Presumably this was to help monitor or identify any young talent that might be a good fit for the academy, but more likely it was just a marketing/money making tool. Also - the average American sports fan has NO idea how academies work in Europe. We largely develop young athletes through a combination of school teams during the year and travel/select/AAU teams in the summer. MLS clubs have academies now, but given the size of the country and distance between teams - I'm not sure that they are at all comparable to Sunderland's academy.

I've got a 14 and 10 year old - and aging parents and a disabled sister. It's just not on the cards for me, no matter how many episodes of Escape to the Country that I see! But it's pretty awful to feel like a stranger in your own country. Hoping the pendulum swings back hard and destroys this movement.

Dissapointing to be honest, politics aside which for me is a big no anyway at the moment over there, they will have also just held the world cup. Hats off to anyone doing both trips from over here.
 
Direct flights from Manchester to Atlanta - then a 4 hour drive to Nashville coming in at around £2000.

I quite like the idea of a mini road trip but not so keen on the prices at the minute.

Share some examples if it is so prevalent.

I have and I will continue to visit, it is a class country with so many different cultures and types of holiday. My brother has lived there for over ten years, amazingly he has never been picked up by ICE as he has a visa...

I did look at that.

Nashville Stadium is about 10 miles from the Airport, fights from Manchester and London, differing flight times

Google maps reckons its 1092 between all 3 games?

Hire a RV, see the sights - whats not to love? Do you thinks it do-able to fly in to 1 airport and fly out of another picking up, and dropping off a RV at 2 different places

Are the club doing anything for the fans again ?

Loads of better sited than me on the site to answer that these days. Contact NASA (make sure you contact the night one otherwise the prices are astronomical). The only tip is that in NYC the statue of liberty is underwhelming. Statten island ferry is free, has a bar, and if you time it right you can go out at sunset and come back at night and see the city lit up.
