He says Le Fee dived, propelling himself forwards at a velocity far in excess of that which could have been caused by the faintest of touches from the Bournemouth player. Le Fee should have been booked for simulation.Have we received a token apology from Webb or has he backed the ref?
Yes, purely out of principle and knowing they've admitted to their mistake.
It’s never been gradual it’s always been perceived as bad for the 13 years I have been on this board.Obviously, you can't give an instant when it suddenly changed. Like any malaise, it's gradual. That's obvious. I cannot take you seriously.
So? They still owe us an apology out of courtesy and to show professionalism. People can react however they wish. And if he apologises everyone just kicks off about a 'token apology'.

Do you not think its perceived as a lower standard because the scrutiny is much more intense compared to years gone by? Do you think if you dropped refs in from a different era into the modern game they'd do the job better?
The scrutiny is more intense but I'm expressing my personal view-I never read or watch media views.officials from previously were dealing with a more honest era. Far more gamesmanship in the game now which makes it far more difficult but,I'll reiterate for the umpteenth time, officials have brought this upon themselves by being increasingly lax in clamp in down on this. Thank you and goodnight, finally. End of discussion.
Yeah hes wrecking the Villa v Chelsea gameHas he been given a game for this week PL Games
Oh right, ignore it in that case and let them crack on.So, most people don't seem to want the apology and see it as meaningless.

Hope he continues to make big mistakes for the betterment of the game.Pretty much.

We're discussing different issues and I'm surprised you can't see that. There'll always be criticism of officials which you judge unfair with some justification. I'm arguing the case for higher standards of refereeing and how it can be achieved. It’s never been gradual it’s always been perceived as bad for the 13 years I have been on this board.
That’s the point if it was gradual they would be time in the past when people said it was better.
But simply that never has happened and tbh the way refs are judged it never will be
Hope someone throws his shrimp on the barbieSurely he'll be having s barbecue?
They really are so up themselves it's untrue at times imo.Chris Foy is impressed with their work, possibly as part of a concerted effort to improve the image of the referees due to their terrible work.
He seemed to have missed completely the penalty / non penalty in our game ... probably as it is indefensible and we don't matter.

Anyway, nice work referees.
If gamesmanship has increased which I agree it has. We're discussing different issues and I'm surprised you can't see that. There'll always be criticism of officials which you judge unfair with some justification. I'm arguing the case for higher standards of refereeing and how it can be achieved.
It was easier in the past I'm talking far more than 13 years ago-the game was slower and there was less gamesmanship. This gamesmanship has gradually increased but officials have been lax in clamping down on it.
How many times have I got to repeat that
There will always be criticism of referees and it's on the increase -as with all areas involving discipline and control. It's the era we live in.
I'm not talking about this board-a lot of it is ott but you're not going to change that no matter how persistent you are.
Good article on corner chaos on BBC website-at least the issue is now been recognised.
How convenient he skipped over the most blatant decision of the weekend. Tosser.Chris Foy is impressed with their work, possibly as part of a concerted effort to improve the image of the referees due to their terrible work.
