As you know I massively defend refs, as all the evidence from all the years prove real decisions hard.

However on this particular occasion I don’t as he had perfect view and should have got it right.

That said it was still much easier for VAR as they had it slowed down, could tell the severity of the push better etc etc.

It’s impossible to understand why VAR hasn’t give it
So have a little guess there mate , its not impossible to do that is it ? We've been through this many times over the last few debacles .
We've got , incompetence, personal favouritism or corruption . Which do you think ? . Time to stop being a contortionist marra , because its reaching the point where no ethically substantial reason can be voiced with any sanity. This one is just the one that proves what others have been saying weekly, the officiating is not fit for purpose , for some reason .
Have your guess .

I do think his performance yesterday should be looked at and after the 3 very obvious mistakes he should be removed from the Prem for a few weeks

Blatant Penalty right in front of him
Red card to Adams for the foul on Xhaka
Hand ball for their goal

All horrible clear decisions and VAR should be pulled in as well

The 2nd two weren't clear decisions. The penalty was clear as day

Did it hit is arm? Not sure it was obvious and highly doubt people would be calling for it if it was us
Depends what they call an arm this week . Personally i would say that its any part of the appendage that can be articulated , simple as, but the rule makers seem to think the biceps are part of the shoulder . Anotomists might disagree .

I missed the game yesterday and it wasnt highlighted on Motd but was there any replay showing Tavernier was onside? Looked really close to be at least not be checked.

Not sure how the penalty or red card weren't given. Whole officiating crew should be looked at.

Inexcusable...he was stood 5 yards away with a clear view, it was a nonsensical decision not to give a penalty and then like you say, for VAR to back him up!

That decision and the recent free kick for the mags where the defender handled it well inside the box the other week, are the 2 worst refereeing/officiating mistakes I've seen for a long time...and on both occasions VAR didn't intervene.

Our VAR is not fit for purpose as either (a) they are as inept as the referee (b) they don't want to correct their mates, or even (c) they are possibly intimidated by the referee for whatever reason.
Var wasn’t in the villa Newcastle match

He was onside and I understood the non red as he got a push. Close though but the push he received saved him.

Penalty the tosser was 5 yards away , but he is shit

I think they were, I have watched them back and red card and handball all day long
The tackle was low, it was reckless but it didn't meet the bar for a red imo. I think people would be fuming if that was given against us. I also couldn't clearly see the ball hit an arm for the goal, so can understand why it stood
