Jared Gillet

From BBC -

"But Bournemouth themselves were perhaps fortunate not to see red when the VAR decided to stick with Jared Gillet's on-field decision to show Tyler Adams a yellow card only for his studs-up challenge on Granit Xhaka"

Sorry , but he didn't show Admas a yellow card did he ? He gave the free kick to Bournemouth, or am I tripping me nut off ?
He did book him for the foul but gave them the free kick for a supposed push on the lad by Diarra. Another ludicrous decision, it's why he never got sent off. Ridiculous

Gave them a free kick for a very soft push just as Adams went into the challenge.

I can see why he gave a yellow for that challenge, it wasn't a clear red for me. Maybe an 'orange'.

Yep, you're right, awarded it to Bournemouth amazingly. But somehow give them a yellow as well. Truly bizarre.

He did - he booked Adams, but still gave Bournemouth the free kick. Totally incomprehensible.

Fuck me how are you supposed to keep up with this shit in the ground . Nobody has a clue what's going on half the time
Yeah, no clue when you're at the game. Unless the scoreboard has a var message, which it might have in this case. If the vitality even has a scoreboard like

Yellow for the foul, free kick for the deemed push by Diarra

I agree. The issue for me is I struggle to see how O’Nien’s v Man City was worse.

Adams’ was much more reckless and dangerous to Xhaka than Onien’s was

Just confused why you have took a stance to defend such an inept referee performance ?

He will not be sleeping tonight knowing he didn’t manage to let Bournemouth win though
He's not defending it though is he. Tattie

I'd have to see the O'Nien one again to remember it.

Yellow card for clearing the ball as the whistle is blown. Another ridiculous decision
This was terrible. He was looking at Geertruida and I think he booked Sadiki because the Bournemouth player appealed. There’s no way he knew when Sadiki cleared the ball.

The Bournemouth player appeals a second after the ball is kicked so I think the ref thinks he’s kicked it later than he did

Ballard sarcastically clapped one of his decisions too and got away with it.
