Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

There's a lot of "fans" who've only turned up now we're in the PL. They were nowhere to be seen amongst the 30k who turned out in League One.

I'd like to think that the majority of those were the early leavers and most of the hardcore stayed till the end, or near enough.
Half the stadium had left when we equalised v Leeds in the championship: arguably our biggest game of the season .

There was a video released last week that we had the 4th most loyal fans for staying until the end. It's a football stereotype that we are the worst for it, just like Newcastle/Liverpool have a great atmosphere etc. If you look at Brighton matches, if they bother to turn up in the first instance, most of them are gone well before full time.
That is good to hear, I honestly hope it’s true, because we see it so ofter last dozen years …. Wonder if video was just this season … we were great after TIL the end… then crap since mags
Here’s a question, I’ve had a season ticket since the 06/07 season and on average miss no more than 1 home game a season. Currently sitting on 81 loyalty points after doing almost all away games over several years. I’ll also be one of 1,300 heading down to Bournemouth next week. I left after 92 minutes yesterday (first time I’ve left a game early in years). Am I a part time fan should I not be able to renew next season because I left a game a few minutes early? Because I can almost guarantee the people complaining about early leavers sit on their hands all game anyway and think they deserve a medal because they stayed till full time. Give owa man.
Yes you have it correct

Would you have left if it was 1-1 in the 92nd minute?

Surprised at that. Not necessarily that we are the 4th best for staying till the end (don't think we are) but how did they possibly rank teams without actually doing a count of who was lwaving and when? Have you got a link you can share for this video cos I'd love to see it.

Someone started a thread about it last week that contained the video. It’s not scientifically proven, just someone’s opinion but if our early leavers were such a big deal as we think it is, I doubt we’d be 4th in his league.

I think that what makes ours look worse than most is from about 80 mins there seems to be a fair proportion of the crowd who start to leave their seats and aimlessly walk around the stadium. Looks really weird and don't see it anywhere else.

It isn’t a great look. Reminds me of Blackburn where the walk alongside the pitch when leaving.

Often thought, could the club not reopen the bars after the FT whistle? Offer discount on a pint with your SC / ticket??

Might persuade a few more to stop in, let the crowds calm down and have an extra pint or some bait.

Went in the BCB for a few games over the years and it was always canny to have a pint after while it quietened down

Noticed sky breaking their neck to show fans leaving on 85 mins.

I’m not one for leaving early, but I can see why people do, as it took me an hour and a half to travel 4 miles only managing to use the clutch and brake.

The night games are the worst but it still happens when we’re winning. It’s like dawn of the dead walking any direction outside the stadium. Pitch black and kettled in with thousands of people doing their best penguin impression until youre back over the bridge.

But you stayed and took that long to get home because that’s how long it takes.
It takes a while to get home after the match, why do these people want to miss the game they paid decent money to watch ( and will pay more next year ) just to get home ??

They’ve weight up the pros and cons of the extra 5-10 minutes and decided it’s worth leaving early.

For those on a schedule, 2 mins can make 45 mins time difference. Mainly the 35 towns to get from the seat to the concourse. I rarely leave early but can see why people do
