Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

That’s the problem with transport up here. People don’t want to spend an hour travelling because the traffic is a nightmare. In London it’s different — you can jump on the Tube in loads of different ways and you’re guaranteed to get home quickly.
But in Sunderland? It’s much harder. You can’t blame people for leaving early when the travel situation is that bad.
That something need to look into it.
Me, drive home and I live in darlington. Traffic was so bad when the game is finished. I need to go early to get in time for me to go home and another activity I need doing on the day.
Whats really frustrating is that when the SOL first opened, the club/police/council all cooperated and put traffic control measures in place in order to get traffic away from the stadium much quicker, and that's before the new coast road south opened. We've also now got train stations like Horden, but only 2 carriages.

Here’s a question, I’ve had a season ticket since the 06/07 season and on average miss no more than 1 home game a season. Currently sitting on 81 loyalty points after doing almost all away games over several years. I’ll also be one of 1,300 heading down to Bournemouth next week. I left after 92 minutes yesterday (first time I’ve left a game early in years). Am I a part time fan should I not be able to renew next season because I left a game a few minutes early? Because I can almost guarantee the people complaining about early leavers sit on their hands all game anyway and think they deserve a medal because they stayed till full time. Give owa man.
Can't believe what I've just read. It's people like you that bring absolute shame on the rest of us.

It will never ever change, its just how it is these days

Not for me I would rather stay but some people would rather miss the crowds

Probably has always happened as well but you can see it even more since things went all seat

For me pointless moaning about it just wish we could get a cracking atmosphere going right until the end

Obviously you’re not a part-time fan. You left early once, in the 92nd minute. If we all left early that infrequently it would be unnoticeable in the ground. People like you are not the issue we’ve got with early leavers.

There is the “early leaver” some one who scuttles away before the end,
and there are those who will walk out with faces like smacked arses when we go two goals down.
It’s the latter who are the real disgrace, imo.

There's a lot of "fans" who've only turned up now we're in the PL. They were nowhere to be seen amongst the 30k who turned out in League One.

I'd like to think that the majority of those were the early leavers and most of the hardcore stayed till the end, or near enough.

People have paid for their tickets.

If they wanna leave, let them. If you stay, stay. Not sure why that should bother anyone else.

This issue along with 'people who have tickets but dont turn up' have become more of a bitching sesh these days.

Is there a way we could reward people who stay till the end.

Scanners on the exits capable of identifying supporters and what time they are leaving.

Anyone scanned leaving after the full time whistle gets credit to spend in the club shop or food and drink outlets in the Stadium.

I was part the way down the stairs as the third went in to go for a piss, bloke sitting at bottom row made a comment about it was pathetic that I was leaving early.

Tbf he apologised when I came back up the stairs after said piss and game him a little wave 🤣🤣

Not sure who needs their head testing mist, those just giving up on the team or me for going back to my seat 🤣🤣

It puzzles me.

People leaving a Premier League game featuring your team to rush away to... what? An extra pint? Strictly?
well i hear, it means they spend less time in traffic. As though traffic is somehow painful or something. You're just sitting there.

But yeah, that next pint is one of the main things.

Not the
“They’ve paid for their tickets”
stance????
Dear me, we’ve been slagging off early leavers for months and you chime in with that old chestnut 🤣
