Mundle

Obviously he should've scored and it's cost us but I still find it difficult to judge all of our attacking players.

What I mean is I can't separate them out from the performance of the team overall. Are all of our attacking players crap, or do they just look crap because of the way we play?

Was there any moans and groans from the crowd when it was clear he was coming on? Get a feeling it may start next time he comes on unfortunately. Really feel for the lad. I genuinely thought he had a style perfectly fit for the Premier League. Surely there's a reason all of our wingers are struggling.

Diarra has played about four games worth of game time since September. We won’t see the best of him this season unfortunately.
Mundle has been out injured with a serious injury and has played hardly any games but seems to get more grief than anyone.
It's just bizarre
Diarra gets a bye as he's hardly played
Mundle gets crucified
Penny dropped for me with Mundle at Everton away, he was so so poor. He’s not good enough at all, when he came on today I knew he’d offer us absolutely nowt
Except for our best chance of the game after the pen.
Same at Everton - best chance of the game (after the two goals) with a great save from pickford. All created by him

This is what I don't get. When he came back into the side he occasionally got a bit of time and space, cut inside and shot.

Against Everton he was up against a weak Everton side and Patterson who had made two starts all season, who bettered him for pace when he had a run, who stopped him almost everytime he went outside, but he managed to cut inside around three times and shoot. So people ignore almost every aspect of his play, because he had those shots.

Given that's his 'go to' thing, if he can replicate that in the PL then it could be a positive. But all that's happened since he's played more often is that its been completely blocked off as sides know what he's going to do.

So until Oxford in the cup he hadn't had a shot since Brentford. even in tha tcup game avainst Oxford where he was heavily involved his final shot, pass or delivery just never happened as the ball generally got too far away from him - and that's not something new for him.

In recent games he's made a decent cross against Arsenal where he'd ran accross from the left to the right and another in another game. And that's pretty much all he's contributed as an attacking force.

Today's shot also didn't come from him cutting in either, he recieved a through ball whilst playing on the shoulder on the edge of the box and he's ran onto it. He literally offered nothing today in an attacking sense or providing for others. I dare bet if you look at his stats then his ball carrying will be exteemely low.

When he receives the ball he either takes too many touches to get it under control or the ball gets a little bit too far away from him, so generally it makes it difficult to turn as a defender or two is right up behind him and it means everything slows down and he has to play it back or infield.

He is dreadfully poor at this level.
