Mundle

Yes he’s got himself into a goalscoring position with a good off the ball run and first touch why’s our centre forward not managed that ?

Largely because of wide players and attacking players, like Mundle, haven't played him in enough.

You're building it up as if Mundle has done something others haven't - Angulo also done it. Mundle was basically picked out with the defence square by a good throughball from Geertruida.

His absolute lack of the basics in terms if touch and composure have cost him and us.

😀😀😀😀

I want him nowhere near the side.

Dan Neil for instance was one of my favourite players. I could see he had limitations which may harm him and us in the PL. I was therefore sad he was moved on, but appreciated the reasoning.

Yet Mundle doesn't have the ability on the ball or experience Neil has.

We have players more suited to play than both them, especially Mundle. Mundle has had far too much game time.
He’s a kid can he not improve he’s coming back from major surgery never played for 6 months barely and is obv devoid of confidence

Of course he was, certainly on the left before he was moved for Mundle.

What did Mundle do in general play outside of that chance?
Angulo had one good run that I remember but other than that I can’t recall much beyond that bad miss. Not saying that Mundle is or will be as effective as Angulo for us, or even that he was as good as the lad on that lhs today, but it wasn’t night and day today for me. Same as Ta Bi the other side, some moments that gave hope that he’ll be great in time, but not much actual effective work. In fact I’d probably say that Ta Bi’s ‘highs’ today were the best that we saw from any wide players.

He's not a kid, he's 22. He's not had enough games at Championship level and doesn't have the level of ability needed. It's abundant to anyone who is watching him. He makes next to no positive contribution each time he plays.

That’s bullshit the reason is our defence and midfield it totally disconnected to the point where they are juts pissing about with the ball at the back so much then getting penned in and it’s aimless hoof forward and give the ball away there is no connection between defence and midfield without xhaka the wingers and the strikers are getting zero service the balls never in front of them we must of played the majority of that game with the ball in our half when we had possession

22 isn’t a kid ?

The wingers and strikers aren’t getting the balls played for them to run onto facing the goal people are expecting them to dribble up the pitch beating 5 men form their own half

Terrible miss but people around me are now giving him shit for underserved stuff.

He kept getting fed the ball in our half with his back to goal and a defender up his backside and he was getting jip for not starting an attack.

Needed either his screamer at Goodison or today’s howler to go in to build confidence really. Long road back for him now though.

Needs to be massively more aggressive and stand up for himself. He falls over at the slightest contact and, like today, the refs we get don't seem interested.

Isadore is another one who can be weak as piss in tackles and falls over looking for fouls he's not going to get.
There is a lot of our players going on like Fanny’s atm

Angulo had two or three good moments before he was moved right - held the ball up well winning it excellently, closed down well and won the ball, got us into the box a few times with and played the ball accross but Brobbey had went back post.

Moved right and was occasionally involved, but in the main his effectiveness wore off - still had a good chance.

Mundle did literally nothing apart from the chance he missed. Most stuff into him got played backwards.

It was night a day for me - one contributed positively, the other didn't.

Ta Bi showed some nice touches but some awful ones too. Looked miles off the level and intensity. If anything Mundle should have went right side to maybe try and play off his right foot and limit Sessegnon as Oxford apart I don't think he's cut in and had a shot in the PL since Brentford.

I’ll take our professional football manager at the highest levels opinion over him who’s sees him train every day over some bulls knackers opinion on a message board , the one thing that’s clear for everyone to see is the lad is suffering with confidence and people like you can’t help
Remind me of his last run of good games please ya know when he had confidence !!!!
He’s been injured for about 8 months man

Not that it made a difference, but that touch before the penalty summed him up. It’s best for all parties that he is moved on in the summer if we are playing premier league football next season. Don’t like to see the lad cry mind, but he’s being hung out to dry in this league. Needs taking out of the firing line.

So Le Bris gets everything right then? 😀

What I say about him on here doesn't make a jot of difference. If he was any good I wouldn't be saying it.

I really do not get it with him tbh. Sure he needs PL experience to get better in the PL but not at our expense whilst we have the likes of Talbi who offers far more than Mundle.

He simply is not good enough and we are not in a position to offer him playing time to try and see if he can make the step up, he has failed to do it so far and should be relegated to being a sub player for when we are winning games and want to take the likes of Talbi off to rest.
