Rightmove Voyeurism

Good lord:eek:

Went to see a house like that years ago, in similar or worse condition... the saddest thing about it there was a lad sitting in a chair who lived there who had just shot up (needle next to him) not giving any fucks.

we didn't put a bid on the house, plenty did though.

a lot of people might not like this one but they'd like to afford it...

Class that like. How much do you reckon?

Not sure as it's so unique... could be anywhere between $15 and $25 million. a lot of those prestige homes withhold their sale price as well.
nothing surprises me with sydney prices mind, there's lots of people with mega deep pockets that seem to want to buy here. I'll try to keep an eye on it.

You get a hell of a lot for your money in Northumberland.

Bit of me that.

Mate just moved back from San fran to his home county. You get a lot for your money in Shropshire. Beautiful place although dangerously close to Wales.

I like most of the ones you post but that one feels too much like a call centre for me.

I don't dislike it but i'm not sure if the house suits a sydney climate. decent in summer when you can open it all up but not sure during winter when there's a southerly gale blowing and it's pissing down. the architecture suits a house built further up in the tropics.
...

Edit: They want $26 million for it apparently, which is $9 million more than it sold for less than 5 years ago (the suburb record price)

These forts seem to come up quite frequently. I quite like the idea of it but in reality it would be a disastrous decision. Fortunately I'm not going to make such a poor decision as I don't have the doubtless multiple millions required to buy it.
As a hotel, I can see people going for one night, but more than that probably gets boring.

Incredible bit of housage.
Its a beautiful house and gardens but always with houses like these I look at and think what a waste 5 or 6 of the bedrooms will be, unless you have 5 or 6 kids surely rooms will just be dumping grounds for crap. That house has 2 sitting rooms, a dining room, breakfast room, library and an orangery so even if you hated your family you could find a room downstairs that nobody would be in. Not saying I wouldnt take it for free but I'd hate my life when I couldnt find my keys and had to look in every room.
