Takeaways

Just do a fakeaway. I can do cracking curries better than the indians , biryani . Chinese curry , fried rice , crispy noodles , chow mein , mexican burritos , fajita , lebanese rice , kofta , jerk chicken , southern fried , homemade burgers par excellence , pizza from scratch , base the lot . Even sushi
Never tops £10 for 4 people
Neither wonder I'm a fat twat 😄
Aye Mrs made pizza bases the other week from scratch really nice, not sure its that cost effective compared to just the deli counter ones, by the time we bought cheese and the toppings,

I miss UK takeaways. Here in the Mexico City suburbs there's basically nothing takeaway wise but tacos, which are boring and tasteless. You can get Chinese in town but it's nowhere near the quality of the UK versions. Nowhere is in my experience, not even China. (Especially not China actually)

What I'd do for a chippy or kebab. Or evenan Indian. You don't know how lucky you are having all those options on your doorstep.
Youtube Als Kitchen - cracking takeaway style curries. Not that hard to make either.

Not keen on the deli counter ones always seem to go dry and brittle . Certainly cheaper than a pizza shop though

Probably already know this but do not get fish and chips delivered, absolute crap. For two reasons, proper fish and chips shops don't deliver so the only ones that do are pizza kebab shops which aren't the best to start with and two they are squashed into the paper and not warm by the time they get too you. Shite
Wrapped hot fish and chips continue to cook, but it's more like steaming, hence the resulting sogginess.

Never put them in a plastic bag and never have vinegar on them and they fare better but still probably steaming in the wrapper for 15/20 mins so not ideal. Only ever had a delivery at end of lockdown when some places could deliver and that was great and disappointing in equal measure.

Only really bother with a particular indian round our way as it is good quality but now costs about £75 for 4 of us which is ridiculous. Probably have 4 or 5 a year.

Mate of mine who used to use the same takeaway now orders this:
- reckons its superb for same money but gets 2 meals out of the delivery
@fin was looking forward to trying this tonight but like many other customers dhl have fucked it up.

Must be very frustrating for them!

Was recently overnighting in a previously unvisited town in the tropics
Didn’t know layout of town or choices so went for Uber Eats option
Never again
Food was expensive, lukewarm, nutrition free, soggy. Nothing whatsoever to give it praise for.

Bastards - so was it supposed to come today and hasn't?
Yeh. More a dhl issue than the restaurant like. Was right in the mood for the bastard.
Eee you have me a load of grief for being conservative with my Indian order.
It was that sir and the ‘quarterly takeaway’ 😉

These are actually dearer than my local takeaways which a £13 starter curry rice nan popadom salad!

Review to follow!
@fin

Unreal quality that! Thanks for the heads up!!

We’ll be getting again. The quality of the meat is top notch
