Well he had to didnt he, imo it was a deliberate quote to continue to the drip of information of what's to come. He can't beat the president or congress the big announcement 🙂

What's he said in his clarification, the chances are low and he didnt see evidence. Still doesn't mean that he doesn't think its not real.

Matt Dillahunty on the Atheist Experience quoted Obama when a little girl was shot at a rally as saying "She's up in heaven now jumping in rain puddles". As Matt said , how does Obama know that she's in heaven and that there are rain puddles up there ?

He said that the first thing he asked when he got into power was "where are the aliens" and it turned out there weren't any.

He clarified that his "quickfire questions" answer previously was exactly what I said it was before he clarified: "space is big, so there are probably aliens out there somewhere, but they've almost certainly never visited us because the distances are so huge, and I've never seen any evidence to suggest they've been here".

Reads like someone who's incredulous that the hard-of-thinking conspiracy theorists have jumped all over his harmless quote and are trying to read something into it that wasn't there.

The word “seen” seems to be doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Seems to be very specific in its use. Too specific for my liking. It prevents him from being proved a liar if it comes out that he’d been told about them verbally. As you were.
