Mundle

None of the players your comparing him too have just come back from major hamstring surgery
I know, I think that's why he needed a loan. Ultimately though, he's a bit one-dimensional and he's too loose in control or the ball, so he becomes predictable and and easier to to nick the ball off. His decision making in the final 3rd is terrible - although he's not alone there! That's why he should have gone out, blown off the cobwebs and got regular starts.

He juts needs minutes he’s getting that for us and as the weekend showed looking sharper

I don't know if Mundle is going to make the grade, but writing him off is a bit premature. We have just spent £18M or so on Angulo who had his breakout season and is the same age, he has had a few more seasons where he was and isn't coming off a long term injury.
Pointless comparing him to Adingra for the same reason, but also Adingra had previous 2 seasons in the prem aswell.
Traore is now a massive miss according to some, he isn't. He doesn't cross, he can't really shoot and he doesn't last more than 50 minutes. He never was and never will be the answer. If he comes back at the same time as Xhaka then he might get the plaudits but in reality he was bought last day of the transfer window on a 1 year contract for a reason, as a squad filler no more no less and his stats back that up.
To give the likes of Mundle a chance and time we need a much stronger team, time will tell where the club stand on that with the summer transfer window.

Angolo and Talbi the first choice left and right for me.
Mundle and Traore backups.
Ta Bi and Mayenda reserves.

Not sure why some are kicking off.

Mundle was probably our best player v Oxford yesterday, but I wouldn’t feel too confident in the premier league. He hasn’t looked good against premier league opposition yet this season.

When he’s got Traore, Angulo and Talbi likely ahead of him when all fit (arguably Ta Bi too depending on training and next few games) then his opportunities are going to be limited to cup games. It’s brutal but it happens.

Before the injury he was great, filled Clarke's boots and then some. I'd love him to make it a prem level but I'm not sure. At least yesterday showed he could easily carve out a carrier in the EFL.

Filled Clarke's boots and then some, not even in the same class as Clarke 😀

He literally had two sub appearances, then a start and scored three games running and then scored two more goals and an assist in 19 more games. By the time he got injured he was struggling to "do his thing" in the championship.

Decent lad, works hard, bit of pace- but it should be clear to most by now there isn't a PL player there. He hasn't got the close control, touch or brain for it and playing him here and there at the moment will never get him to that level. He needs to drop a level and get regular games.

Talbi has shown so far he gets isolated right. Apart from a short spell after half time yesterday he didnt do much and its a common theme out there for him. The right side is a problem.

He's got worse in the PL the more he's played.

When he was coming on for sub earlier in the season and he had a few shots, then played against Everton and had a few in that game. You were saying a right footed left winger isn't there to provide quality, but is there to cut in and shoot and also when cutting in he leaves space down the left for the fullback to overlap.

Now despite in his starts him generally getting better as the game goes on you were using the fitness and sharpness reasons for his lack of quality. And yet he went from having shots in early sub appearances and against Everton to not having a shot at goal from the Brentford game till yesterday. His only input before yesterday in his last starts and sub games were a couple of crosses.

So after struggling in the PL he plays Oxford in the type of game which suits him and despite having loads of the ball, carrying it forward often he displays the same lack of quality and final ball all too often letting the ball get away from him, running into defenders, miscontrols etc.

I doubt he'll ever be a decent PL player, but he simply isn't going to get to it without going to the championship on loan and playing game in game out as he just hasn't done anything to warrant being given minutes and the fact we've just bought another left sided will push him further down the pecking order.

Complete guesswork he would of been loaned out if this was the case

Talbi scores against Chelsea and Liverpool then a world class goal against Burnley and RLB insisting with this Championship plodder.

I just don't know what he's thinking!
