ID checks for away tickets

Can If you actually use the turnstiles?
Because if you did you would know there is nothing on the other side other than a bank of football supporters, and if you are a child they are twice your height with no reference point whatsoever or understanding of what to do next.
The club does have a responsibility to ensure children are safe when they come through that turnstile if their guardian does not follow.
have you ever been inside a football ground? every stadium i've been in usually has a steward the other side of the turnstiles.

Only sanction they’d do is take the point off them, nothing official as of yet saying if you do x y z youl be banned etc

Key word there is "yet". And someone was saying in the week that one bad example of a lad selling a marked up ticket on Facebook has got himself a 5 home game ban and lost all his points.

I wonder if that was the resale seat I got last night for the Liverpool game. I hope so, as none of the money will be going to the nasty tout.

yes we do. have a look next time. they're the ones wearing bright orange coats with 'matchday steward' on them.
Mainly yellow and blue coats at ours to be fair!!! Are you not a hi viz connoisseur??

From my experience the time you enter the ground has a bearing at Sunderland- earlier on they have 4/5 stewards watching across and searching maybe 10 entrances for the light above for the age and concession tickets. If a kids goes off and you are an adult you will be rightly checked. Most of the aways their is a steward behind the turnstile from my experience, but on occasion there isn’t.

The heavier stewarding this year at aways has been outside bag searches, pat downs. Pre ticket checks etc. mix of yellow and orange coats do this 😂

there was when we went in mind. the one inside was the one who told the mrs she was putting her qr code at the wrong place.
We got there around 2:45 so think they just want people in at that point, and most stewards prob helping people to seats etc by that point

None other side yesterday, most concentrate outside for searching and checks etc these days
I thought yesterday was one of the least intrusive of the season, someone checking your ticket (fair) then a cursory “search”, no airport type security gate, no sniffer dogs (when I went in) no one with wand checking for whatever they’re checking for, overall a piece of cake, apart from them trying to send us to L when ticket said K but overall no chew at all.

There isn’t any in the SWC when I walk through pal. Never has been. There’s a few milling about outside but never inside.
they're always there in the east stand. just speaking as i see.

we got in stupidly early about 2ish. tbh with these new fangled digital tickets i'm always quite concerned it won't work for whatever reason or get flagged for an id check so like to give plenty of time for any problems to get sorted rather than miss some of the match but there was only man city where it didn't and we had to go to the ticket booth. luckily it was just next door to the turnstiles.

i thought the stewards down there were spot on yestreday unlike previous seasons when they've been absolute bellends. like i said above we were in early and there was a sniffer dog. little spaniel that was called buster.

The lad doing the patdowns took one look at the old gadgie.with s stick in front of him and apologised for having to do it.

Slowly coming to the realisation that as an exile, I am unlikely to be able to get tickets to away games again. Not going to risk being randomly checked and turned away. Absolutely gutted.
Do you think you should get tickets ahead of people who go every single week travelling hundreds of miles?

Funny when people refer to themselves as exiles - who exiled you? Or did you choose to move away for your own benefit?

There was a sniffer dog on L but I agree, it was a lot better than the likes of West Ham

Ah East Stand … there you go. Full of wrong’uns and needs to be a higher security presence!

There is,that's where I stand with my pint.
As some have said the earlier you go the more there is actually just inside the gates.
Closer to KO time there is still normally at least one there. They very rarely actually check the traffic light system though they normally just stand there gormlessly looking into space.
