Sam Elliott — New Overseas Bowler

Hearing very strong rumours that Aussie fast bowler Sam Elliott will be our overseas bowler for the season. Son of Matthew.

Sam Elliott now off to Glamorgan. Looks like we’re going back in for Codi Yusuf after failed attempts at Scott Boland and Brendan Doggett

Glamorgan have just signed Aussie fast bowler Nathan McAndrew so I would have thought it highly unlikely Elliott is going as well.

I wouldnt be disappointed though if we resigned Yusuf. He didnt do too badly last season.
.
EDIT - just found out McAndrew has actually signed for the Blast so it's plausible both Aussies could go on their books

McAndrew is only for the Blast and 2 championship games during the Blast period so Elliot may well be at Glamorgan for the early season CC period.
Durham no longer appear to be an attractive proposition. I wonder why?

Would probably do a job in division two, didn’t let us down last season in the red ball

Codi Yusuf just taken 5for in South Africa and at least you know what you are getting with him. Other counties have been quietly recruiting whilst our lot seem to be very quiet on both the men's and women's front. No idea as to whether Susie Bates is returning pity Healy is retiring as along with her husband they could fill the spots.
