Yip. Ballard has been a lot better than Alderete recently as well
Agreed but I don't think Ballard and Alderete look as solid as a partnership as Mukiele and Alderete did.
Stats may prove me wrong like.

Haven't seen much of a difference tbh. Ballard would make my strongest 11Agreed but I don't think Ballard and Alderete look as solid as a partnership as Mukiele and Alderete did.

There was a compensation payment involved but this apparently was not enough to make up for losing a quality player and having to find a last minute replacement. That's down to Liverpool. How entitled can you get?
Missed Ballard massively when he was out. Could feel the impact when he returnedAgreed but I don't think Ballard and Alderete look as solid as a partnership as Mukiele and Alderete did.

Well done the club for standing their ground. We normally sell at a cut price as soon as a player hints at leaving.Lutsharel Geertruida: A potential loan deal with Liverpool didn't fall through because of RB Leipzig. RB was willing to talk and open to a solution with the Reds and Sunderland. However, concrete talks between Leipzig and Liverpool didn't materialize because Sunderland ultimately wasn't prepared to let Geertruida go.Logon or register to see this imageThe Dutchman would have liked to move to Anfield, but will now finish the season in the northeast of England. Sunderland rejected the transfer and still have an option to buy him (~€23 million € ).

It's all down to how he reacts to this. We could be stuck with a player who doesn't want to play, or one with a point to prove.Well

Don't want to be helping out Liverpool finish above us neither.Well

Shoe horn ??? He’s a Dutch international chased by top team in England who would you rather lose Hume or him ? We are stronger with mukilele centre back he gives us pace thereDo we just ignore how well Ballard’s played to shoehorn in a player just because Liverpool wanted him to become their emergency right back?
I am hoping that he has been left out because he was unsettled by the Liverpool approach. If he now accepts he is here till the end of the season and commits… especially with World Cup selection to play for …. then we could see greater involvement and effectively a new signing.Well

Adama "the Hulk" Traore isn't.Ballard is 2nd on the team sheet after Xhaka for me, when picking from a fully it squad. Chuck Norris is scared of Dan Ballard

If he stops trying, there's no way he'll get in the team, and we'll not bother wasting our money on him. It's all down to how he reacts to this. We could be stuck with a player who doesn't want to play, or one with a point to prove.
Celebrity death match incomingAdama "the Hulk" Traore isn't.
Ballard would knack him. So would Brobbey.Adama "the Hulk" Traore isn't.
Mukiele is also one of the better crossers of a ball at the club.Shoe horn ??? He’s a Dutch international chased by top team in England who would you rather lose Hume or him ? We are stronger with mukilele centre back he gives us pace there
Aye to be their third choice right back, like he is here.Shoe horn ??? He’s a Dutch international chased by top team in England who would you rather lose Hume or him ? We are stronger with mukilele centre back he gives us pace there
Regis has said several times in press conferences and interviews how much of a "good guy" Lutsha is. I'm sure he'll knuckle down and not be the sort to we the bed and unsettle the squad. I also dont think the culture in the dressing room and the strong leadership group we have would allow that.If he stops trying, there's no way he'll get in the team, and we'll not bother wasting our money on him.
Other than having to pay his wages we haven't lost anything. Allowing him to go to Liverpool would have meant we'd lost a good player.
Fingers crossed he gets his head down and proves himself. Liverpool may lose interest, and we sign a good player
