Away tickets - Loyalty points . . .

Demand will drop off like
Just look at the mags, there cup game against villa went to 0 points and city has gone to 15. Considering they have people on 200+ points that’s probably equivalent to 0 on our system.
Fine, if it drops, I'm happy.

If it doesn't will people accept the system should change?

Maybes I'm just too optimistic even after following the lads for decades.

Make it proportionate, every point gives you an entry in to a ballot. So if you have 70 pts you get 70 chances, 2pts gives you 2.

Makes every point count rather than bands and makes sure Ethan’s a chance even if it’s small
In 1973 I went to these FA Cup games
Notts County v Sunderland
Sunderland v Reading
Didn’t go to the Reading replay
Man City v Sunderland
Sunderland v Man City
Sunderland v Luton
Arsenal v Sunderland at Hillsborough

Then we had some voucher scheme that if you were lucky got you a ticket for the Wembley final against Leeds United, I didn’t get a ticket, do you think that was fair or was I just unlucky, do you think I should have had more chance of attending the final than a lot of those that won in the voucher ballot?

Ballots could be a slippery slope. It is an opportunity for the club to monetise away tickets further through memberships with no guarantee of actually securing a ticket. That is the only reason the club would go down that road not to make it 'fairer'.
The club can barely administrate the tickets as it is and we had the situation last season where we returned tickets after 'running' a ballot for Luton and Portsmouth. Unacceptable when demand is high.
Personally, I wouldn't be happy with a ballots unless it is completely transparent. That means clear rules on numbers applying, loyalty point positions, how tickets are allocated, corporate allocations and proper comms from SAFC etc like the FA do for England.

Did you take him to Norwich and Bristol City away last season?

Less than a year ago so still in the bracket for ‘being ready’ to go to away games
Sshhhhh...! Speaking the truth and pointing out the bleeding obvious won't go down well on this thread with some.

it was a voucher at roker. did they not also actually have a voucher you handed in at the start of the season that was if you wanted to apply for them all? (might be wrong with that like)
there was also the gold cards, queueing through the night and getting lettered vouchers at certain games that were in a draw for a cup game.
Voucher 64 but that was the SOL era. I’m too young to know how aways worked at RP

You had a chance, that's the point.

If demand stays high, people don't have any chance.
Again it isn’t a closed shop
It is unless demand drops.

He obviously can’t think of an excuse. He’s been asked several times and he’s not prepared to admit he’s totally in the wrong and not the type of fan the club wants.

Maybe his kid had to do detention at school on Good Friday as he complained he didn’t get his own way?

Despite is 13 year old (youngest kid) getting to be 6 year old again.
So just make a system that fits entirely around you eh?
Ah you’ve finally cottoned on to his requirements. Taken u a while to work it out.

Can we take his case to KLD see if he’ll sort tickets for him. He’s been a loyal fan for 30 seconds so demands a ticket for every away game.
Which away games have you been to this season using your 30 loyalty points?
@Mnemonic question too difficult or not want to admit you haven’t done any away games this season?

You're seriously upset that your precious system is going to be changed.
What was the issues taking him to Bristol City last year? Or Norwich? Or Cardiff opening day? Preston away both league and cup?

As he only has 3 (one of which is for Everton) he’s clearly missed some of these too - Hudds (H) Cup, Crewe (H) Cup, Sheff Utd (H) NYD Stoke (H) Cup.

Plenty chances there within the last 16 months or so. If you can’t take the easy points on offer why should an entire system that has worked for years be changed to suit you now it’s convenient?

5 was too young to go to Championship away games.
6 is the perfect age for him to start going to Premier League away games.
Despite his youngest child being 13. The lies are appearing all over his argument and this is why the club should be careful when dealing with people like him who can’t tell the truth once.

Game weren’t glamorous enough for him.

Not they type of fan? I've went to away games since McMenemy, I was at the 6-1 defeat against blackburn amongst many others. Were you?

What lies? You're desperate to defend the system that locks you in to away games.

The system will change, but life's not fair, so you'll just have to accept it.

Another one missing the point.

Can you explain to me a scenario where the lad builds up enough points to get into phase 2 without the presumption we get relegated or turn shit.

People will naturally not go to all the games. We have been out the prem that long that demand is high.

I’ll be at every game this season but in our last stint in the prem, I stopped going to over half of them because I was sick of going to the so called big boys and watching an inevitable defeat.

If your son is actually 6, he is lucky he has a season ticket at that age. I didn’t get one until I was 15 and didn’t go to my first away game until I was 19 - Makes you wonder how I’ve managed to get to phase one

6 is probs a bit young if I honest, but if he was 7, 8, 9 or 10, it doesn't' change anything. There's no way to build points to a level needed.
