Thank you Dan Neil

Best of luck to him. Great to see a career like his develop from a youth, but at the minute the Premier League seems to be a step too far. Perhaps a couple more years in the Championship and he can give it another go at 26-28.

Just want to add my twopenneth.
Always loved watching you in the red and white son, you are a credit to your family and to the wider North East.
All the very best for the future, I’ll be watching you wherever you go!

You absolute bell end.
Jog off into obscurity, where you belong.
What was said?
Best of luck to the lad. Hope he’s has a cracking career.

He lived the dream that pretty much everyone on here would want as a career

Good luck Dan.

Achieved what most kids growing up supporting Sunderland dream of. Shame he couldn't make the step up to continue the dream but he was an important part of a promotion winning side who did it against all odds. I expect him to go on to win promotion again with Ipswich and then get himself a decent move in the summer.

Good luck bonny lad.

Was never a massive fan, but 100% committed, gave absolutely everything for the cause.

One of our own, and hope he gets the career he has earned.

Him and Jack will get Ipswich promoted, and he was part of something that gave me my happiest time supporting the lads.

Haway Dan.

The academy manager who didnt even work with Dan Neil has been quoted despite the fact Neil is 24 with 200 first team appearances. No one is expecting a big long statement but thanks and good luck would be nice from the manager.

Might not wish him good luck?

Dont know if this has been mentioned but has anyone seen any comment from any of the lads who joined in the summer? Expected acknowledgement from Xhaka at least.
Le Fee signed in the summer but assume you didn't count him as he played here last season

Seems fair enough, they won't know him. Xhaka maybe as captain if the club are doing this sort of press

Is a bit of a weird one that Le Bris hasn't been put forward for commenting like.

But then theres nothing from KLD either i don't think. So probably nowt in it.

Good Luck Dan . No one will every forget the promotion memories he created for our long suffering fans .

Great fitness levels and hardly ever injured . Top signing by Ipswich Town where he teams up with his big mate Jack Clarke.
