A few weeks ago a clip on a podcast with Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt was going around when they were interviewing him. Basically he was saying at Newcastle him and Steve Harper tried to break young goalkeepers and those on trial, laughing as he thinks they once broke on of their wrists. Anyways sounded like a bully and the look Scholes and Butt gave eachother said it all, was a half laugh but they looked very awkward
 
As if he’s saying he didn’t know the meaning of the word 😂😂😂

He obviously didn’t mean offence by it built Christ how naive and stupid and then saying ‘eeee is that what it means I didn’t know that’ 😂😂

Thjng is. It’s so absolutely insane I now almost believe him

I’ve honestly never heard it used it any other context, and I’m sure a lot of us have all been in very un PC situations

Aye saw a transcript of that, Harper will be thrilled he’s been portrayed as a bigger cuck than he already was

Don’t know why, but this did make me laugh. I can now imagine him reading one of his kids Barney the Dinosaur and one of them asking why Barney was a little grumpy. When responding he aimed for ‘Baby Bob was a little late for his party’ but missed with ‘a meteor had just hit Mexico’. Of course he apologised (after all everyone has gaps in their historical knowledge, so he couldn’t possibly have known the relevance) and gave his pocket money to the Dinosaur Survivor’s Fund.

I think people over estimate the intelligence of some people. I’ve worked with some reasonably intelligent people who had absolutely no knowledge of basic history or geography.
