I do wonder on practical things but the outside is far more interesting than anyone's inside so loads of light and windows will do me . Can't see the point of loads of rooms in big houses
How many do you need . Big usable spaces .

It’s very very stylish. I’m not sure that I like the style personally but I do appreciate what they’ve done.

Regards price, London innit. How prices keep going up and up so something “normal” is £1 million is just insane but a house price drop/crash/readjustment has been predicted for years. It’ll never happen as a) the government keep pushing prices up with schemes like help to buy and, more importantly b) those of us with house will never allow the price of our houses to fall as it would make us “poor”.

An hour train ride from London and it is already down to £500k, then steadily goes cheaper the further away you get.

No wonder loads of people are selling up and moving to places like Alnwick and going into London for work once every week or two. I used to live in York and if I were still there could seriously consider a once per fortnight London job. Once a week with a 2 hour trip might be a bit much. But some are willing to put up with that.

Rare foray across to the US for Jim Steinman’s old house. Originally $10million, yours for a snip at $3million with all his stuff still in it, or $1.5million without. At least 5 rooms which probably only make sense if someone’s playing Bat Out of Hell at top volume.
