Obvious that RLB and the coaching staff don't rate his ability in the Premiership, don't think it has anything to do with him not signing a contract.

If your looking for defensive minded right winger then would Hume not fit that role?
Good at going forward, likes a cross and can score goal?
?????Rather have Dan Neil in than a right back. Baffling.
Are you watching them both in training every day?Poor lad deserves better this season. Put in so many good performances the last couple of seasons and Regis picks Rigg ahead of him. You can’t tell me that Rigg offers more to the team than Neil does…
We don't need a goalscorer, we need a creator. Both Brobbey and Isidor will score goals if they're given good service in the right areas.Sell,we need the money for a goalscorer.
Or he's significantly behind the competition in training and hasn't shown enough to warrant any real game time. It's minor in what has been a brilliant season so far, but the treatment of Neil has been baffling.
A player who is homegrown, didn't cost us anything, and would probably be quite happy to be used as a squad player for a couple of seasons at his boyhood club could have been a really good asset. To not even give him a chance is ridiculous really.
Just stubbornness, for little reason. Shame for us and shame for Dan as well
I think the test of Neil's ability will be which (if any) premier league clubs try to sign him
Okay, but if you take that attitude, what is the point in critiquing anything? There can always be an unknown reason that means that RLB is correct 100% of the time. Are you watching them both in training every day?
Personally, I'll trust the judgement of the people who are.

Strikers can't score if you haven't got players getting the ball to them. Just look at Haaland against us. Anonymous for most of the game and never looked a goal threat because we denied him the service he needs.
If we can bring in a winger or attacking midfielder who is a genuine, proven creator that will make far more of a difference than adding another striker without solving the underlying problem.
Or he's significantly behind the competition in training and hasn't shown enough to warrant any real game time.
Maybe he's had a stinking attitude because he's not a starter any more and got replaced as captain.
Maybe he'd decided before the season started that he wouldn't be signing a new contract, in which case you can't fault the club for playing the younger player, with a longer contract and more potential, ahead of him.
We don't know. None of us know what goes on behind the scenes, but I can't imagine that there isn't a good reason why Le Bris isn't playing him.
i think in neil's case it's a rare one of him getting worse the less he playsThe less he plays the better he gets, true SMB mantra.

Opposite is happening. He's getting worse with every passing dayThe less he plays the better he gets, true SMB mantra.
Correcti think in neil's case it's a rare one of him getting worse the less he plays
people are going on like he's some bombscare a season after he captained us to promotion
true why not use DN to play as LB/LWB? creative with the ball and good vision. Train him and he'll come good ?A lot of people forgetting DN has spent time at lb, lm, rw and am. He can cover positions.
He could have been given more game time over the last few weeks definitely but it is what it is. Seems apparent that the writing is on the wall for him.
Playing Rigg on the RW is a just a complete waste of time for him and us. He's not a winger in a million years and it just leaves us with absolutely nothing down that side. We've tried it multiple times, and I don't recall any game where its actually worked.I really rate Rigg and hope he continues developing into the player I hope he becomes. However, he isn’t a right winger. And physically he isn’t yet ready to start premier league games as evidenced last night when twice in quick succession he was easily brushed off the ball. Dan Neil played both right back and even centre half in a couple of games last few seasons. Good players can adapt. Neil also isn’t a right winger but he would have been more solid last night than Rigg was.
If he wasn't from round here there would be a lot less sympathy for him not having signed contracts that will clearly have been put in front of him.
I trust the people at the club to know the value of a player and trust them to hold the line if they think a player is overplaying their hand - it will quickly spiral out of control if they don't put a marker down.
Rigg and O'Nien have signed extensions while the Niell saga has been going on so it isn't like players who have been on the journey with us are under appreciated - both of those would have had options if they wanted to play hardball in negotiations.
