SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

I was thinking this. Way down on the list of priorities, but that could look a bit more vibrant.

Long standing issue, but the seats are faded again. As a nice to have if have that back on the list. Noticed Leicesters are too based on the empty seats the other night.
They should swap the colour scheme and go mostly white with red writing for the seats. Red fades too quickly and it will be better long term to swap it round.

White looks terrible when a seat isn’t used.

The solution surely has to be a cover?
I Would rather actual white than red that fades to pink in a year is all I'm saying mate. It looks shit again and it wasn't long ago when it was sorted. I'm ok with black with red too but I don't know how black would hold up either.

If we do go for a cover then I'm all for it but it's 1 more thing the ground staff have to do and it just slows down the problem rather than a real fix.

Fair enough, but I think more white seats would look horrendous.

Edit - unless we do the full second tier and then have white on the lower and red all around the top!

How come Anfield always looks red
Anfield had a load of pink seats until the summer. Whole main stand got redone in pre-season because they’d faded to pink, like ours. Most of the stadium seems decent, though.

Best stadiums for red seats seem to be Forest, Stoke and Atletico Madrid. Stoke went with a top seat manufacturer. All red seats fade eventually, but the quality of seat can help slow down that process.

Clubs like Man United and Liverpool don’t want the place looking shabby when they get so many people doing stadium tours, etc.

Lots of people will have an opinion on a big change like that — maybe preferring a certain colour — but “horrendous” is a bit of a strong word. Juve’s Allianz Stadium and West Ham’s both look smart with white.
Better quality initial seats? Covers?

Nee sun in Merseyside?
They generally go for a better spec. Also they replace them more regularly.

Saying that, Liverpool went with cheaper seats in the main stand and then learnt the hard way — like we have now — that if you buy cheap, you often buy twice.
