I reckon Mukiele, Alderete and Ballard are 3 of the best centre half’s I’ve seen play for Sunderland. Honestly can’t think of any better and that includes anyone who played through the Reid era.

France RBs are in this order : Kounde, Gusto, Pavard, Clauss. I think Mukiele is better than all of them bar Kounde but since there is only one international break before the WC, I would be a bit surprised if he's called by Deschamps.

For the CB position his competition is Saliba, Upamecano, Konate, L. Hernandez, also Pavard, Badé, W. Fofana, Kalulu, Lukeba...

Not just his footballing ability, he is an absolute leader and warrior at a time when there isn't too many of those around in football.....we have 5 or 6 in our team.

2 games in a row he's been the best player on the pitch by a country mile imo against not too shabby opposition either.

Xhaka obviously gets all of the attention from the national press & for what he brings to the club off the pitch also but for me Nordi has been our best player this season. Strong as an ox, takes no shit, imposes himself on opposing forwards like he did with Haaland, formidable when bombing down the wing. I don’t know what his best position is, he’s immense in both. I keep thinking him & Alderete would be starters for any team in the league. We are going to have a big problem holding onto them come the summer.
