If he’s an €80m player, he will have other suitors

I can see why they may want to sell given financial troubles, and he’s not first choice over Yamal, Raphina, Pedri, Olmo etc

But he won’t be coming to us for that price

I don't think most people have any trouble believing we would spend £80m, though it is a lot in January after our summer spending. It's more that £80m got us Xhaka, Sadiki, Mukiele, Alderete, Roefs, Traore and change in the summer. You'd fancy the DOF to find 2/3 players for £80m that would have a bigger impact combined than a single player.

I think he is being bullied into wanting to leave. As I have posted before, personally he's my favourite. A very special player ,- different from the run of the mill player.
My big doubt is his accepting swapping the Camp Nou for Wearside.
However, the pull of the Premier is so big now.

Just typed his name into X and it's full of Barcelona fans saying how great he is, I know we're on the up but I'm going to assume players who are getting games for Barcelona aren't going to us just yet.
