Burnley Forum

They're forgetting they'd spent millions on their squad to get promoted and we spent £3.50 & traded in an old Fifa 05 PlayStation game and a toffee apple with a bite out of it.

They were bouncing around by our busses last season as if they'd won the Champions League rather than scraped a lucky point off us
Yeah we were kept sitting on the bus for about an hour after the game before the police would let us away, while they all surrounded us taunting us for the whole of that hour!

It was similar this season as well!

I have a mate that supports them, he’s very realistic and honest about the situation, realises that their recruitment based on players signed on obligation to buy was very flawed. Seems honestly happy for me that we are killing it atm. I have to say he seems to be in a minority but lives nowhere near Burnley so maybe that explains it.
I used to sit amused at the media last season regularly stating that we couldn’t compete with teams like Burnley financially or on the pitch, lost count how many said it on tv and radio. Teams like Burnley 🤣🤣.

You know what’s better that idiot Trafford left em and ended up not playing 😂

They are also a backward little club

I honestly wonder what's going through his head at the moment.

For the whole of last season his transfer to Newcastle was being talked about in NW football circles as a done deal.
In fact it was so accepted that Newcastle didn't feel the need to formalise it quickly or early in the close season.

Then Man City decided they needed a back up and exercised their buy back clause and he joined them instead - but he must have still had to agree to the transfer.

Then he spends this season getting splinters in his backside rather than play.

I never had nothing against Burnley until that bell end of a keeper went on like a tit last season. Now I’m rather pleased that they are struggling big time.
Aye, the cocky little knobhead. Have to say mind, I do feel sorry for Lyle Foster. After the game he came over to Isidor and seemed to be genuinely consoling him. I felt bad about having been giving him abuse all game in the earlier meeting at the SoL. Felt even worse about that when I realised I'd mistaken him for Lyle Taylor all season so he didn't actually deserve it at all

We play west ham and these back to back. Hoping we on 36 points after Burnley and that will be us effectively safe by 2nd Feb. Crazy

“They also seem to be getting their fair share of 'luck' - they didn't have to face Arsenal today with Gyökeres, they had basket case Potter's West Ham at home to kick start their season etc etc“

Has he ever seen a Premier League game? Luck is certainly one thing we have not had. Every single thing we’ve had to work hard for and often against certain factors.
Funny though isn't it, the better you are the luckier you seem to get.

Aye I mentioned the £50m or so in obligations and they conveniently ignored that too.

I dont mind Burnley. All football fans can get a bit cocky at times. Cant really hold that against them. I wish them well in the Chsmpionship next season.
A lot of them were acting like Bellends down there this season, proper trying to goad our fans
