Early Leavers - Again!

There was a lad sat hear us who was ALWAYS late coming to his seat. He then went to the bar 5 minutes before the end of the first half and was late back to his seat for the second half. He ALWAYS left early no matter what was going on in the game.

I have no idea why but this was every single game.

Each to their own. It's a delicate subject on here but make no mistake it's embarrassing to a neutral. My Arsenal supporting mate used one of my family spares recently. Bournemouth was his first SoL visit ever and he said the atmosphere and game was class. At the Leeds game he turned around and randomly said "What's happened? Where is everyone going?" I had to explain we have a good chuck of home fans that only want to see 40 minutes of a full game.

Not too many Man United fans left early last night. I do think we’re probably the worst for it in the past but this season has been fine. Still hundreds heading to the concourse on 35 minutes but that will never change.

Plenty of clubs have it and that includes championship teams aswell. It is what it is, people have their reasons and so be it. I would rather criticize those who don't attend a match. There are plenty on here who never attend yet are the first to have a go.
Personally we always leave our seats with a minute or so to go and walk down to one of the tunnels where we stand and see the ref blow. Then we leg it.

What's the point of going to the match if at 3.50 on a Sunday afternoon you can't hang around for 8 sodding minutes 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Yeah same here. With standing, a great memory I have of the Fulwell end was when at half time, my mate said he was starving so was going to buy two pies. The queue was massive so he took ages. About 5 minutes after the second half kicked off, I saw him squeezing through the crowd, arms aloft in the air holding a pie in each hand. We then scored and the terrace erupted. By then my mate was right next to us with his arms still in the air. In the chaos, people started throwing each other about like a massive fun fight. A scrum of people ended up on the floor further down, lads chucking each other down onto the pile of bodies below. The sheer madness, laughter and fun was unreal.

As it all calmed down and people were climbing off the big pile bodies, the sight of my mate emerge from the very bottom of the pile. He was flat on the ground, no pies in his hands, just pastry, meat and gravy, squashed and splatter all over his face and clothes, it was a wonderful sight to see. :lol:
When he finally got next to me he said, 'Bastard, I waited ages and was starving, but aleast we scored', with a expression which was a strange mixture of joy and disappointment together. :lol:
Wonderful times, that seating in terraces could never replicate. :lol:

We have a lad that sits with us that generally gets to his seat around 10 minutes late.
He is still in the pub and we can see him walking to the ground from where we sit. He is horse racing mad and is always watching a race.

When he walks up the steps always met by, “Jules did it win.”
He is a good lad and travels home and away.

I wait to the board going up and walk down from the top on the last minute.

At Swindon we have security with sticks that beat fans to return to watch the shite.🤣

Aye great times remember the Roker end the ground when both ends were full with die hards in the Roker singing their hearts out in competition with the Fulwell baiting the clock stand to sing they never did🤣 Remember being in Roker one game full house i was in the middle of Roker end we scored ended up near the floodlight pylon on the left of the Roker end as you looked from the fullwell it was an education at the top of the fulwell as a fresh faced teenager. It was great fot pulling the lasses though🤣

We definitely do it a fair bit, our stadium set up makes it easier to spot too. Old school stadiums it’s not as easy to do or as easy to spot. The walk way all around the bowl makes it easy for people to move around and makes it easy to spot.
