Boro thread

Three poor results, 61 shots across three games and zero goals. Our number 9 has 3 in 23. We have been reliant on goals across the team and its dried up.

We had no centre backs in the squad last night and we gifted them the goal but we could still be playing now and wouldn't have scored.

The mission for January is simply, a striker and an Attacking mid. Mcgree is our most creative player but made out of glass.

Its hard to see us staying ahead of Ipswich with their squad and last night they finally turned there away form around.

But we are still 2nd and January is upon us
I'm not going to lie and say I want Boro to do well as I don't. But I thought they were very unlucky last night . I've seen them 4 or 5 times this season and they've looked decent on every occasion.

It's difficult to see past them, Coventry & Ipswich for top 3. Can't really think of anyone else to push into that. But as you know if you miss out on top 2 play offs are bit of lottery!

Last 10? I'm referring to the season as a whole. Also, they blew a 3-1 lead at Wrexham.
They're finding a semblance of form at the right time. Ok, they lost to Wrexham, but they lost 11 out of their first 13 games, 6 points out of 39.

Since their 3-1 defeat at Coventry at the beginning of November, they've only lost twice.

After our game with Newcastle, Boro fans on FMTTM were saying they would wipe the floor with both us and the mags. Genuinely serious as well :lol:
Here we go again .
TWO, yes two people said that (and I don't think for a moment they were being serious), seeing as one of them said something about us beating both of you together.

Aye.
Creating plenty chances, need a natural striker or Strelec/ Conway to find some form.

Much better than last season defensively (on the whole), although the injuries are starting to stack up (again).

Yes, there's no Leeds, Burnley or Sheffield United, but I wouldn't say the league is overly 'weak'.
Still plenty teams that can string some results together and most teams seem to be able to win when not expected to.
Hackerney should have had 2 games left of a suspension too. Wonder if someone like Everton will bid
Hackney's not suspended.
He wasn't sent off against Blackburn
It’s crazy to think we were a division below you not long ago mind.
Swings and roundabouts.
We were also a league below you not long ago (as well as now).
Things can easily change.

Indeed. I’ve never minded the boro tbh, I hope you can get promoted as it’s a very important game to me just not as important as beating them ***** up the road.
I fear you’ll fuck it up though, needs to sign some reinforcements.

How’s Browne getting on?
Last season there were 4 teams better than the rest until we give up march time. Real opportunity for them to come up, with how close it is behind Coventry. Was nice to see Clarke looking like his old self yesterday though

Not sure either of your heads understand the word "should" 🤷🏻

Like most teams they need a consistent CF. Look good in a PO ells but not clinical enough. Probably need a few reinforcements to see the season out. Be interesting to see if they do spend owt.

He’s been a great chairman over the years but is clearly not prepared to just you millions at it, even if he could.
