Swindon Town 25/26 thread

How many you take up there Swindon marra ?

Only given 1054 tickets which is pathetic and why we have to get out of this league.
A fair few in the home ends.
Sold out in days. Disappointing I couldn’t get my lad one.
A great & very valuable away win tonight, to haul yasels back into an automatic promotion spot. 👏👏👏

An excellent win mate and a decent performance.
Should have been 3-0 and cannot understand how the linesman gave a handball as I was virtually next to Palmer as he walked the ball in the net.

Officials tonight were nothing short of abysmal.
Against a bogey team aswell

Only our 2nd win there in 12 games.
Not a bad set of results tonight for Swindon, that's one "bogey" picked out of the way.

MK, Walsall & Salford all dropped points. A lot more swinging in that division again I reckon.

Definitely going to the wire.
Most pleasing tonight is maintaining the record of not falling to back to back defats.
Picked up another injury though.

Thoroughly deserved that tonight. Nice Town Cheltenham and a lovely drive over the Cotswolds and quiet roads.⚽

Seen how close league two is.... Great win for Swindon today... but 2nd to 8th... 5 points.. Insane

Watched all the games and no team look like pulling away this season.
Any team can beat another as the table is proving.
Just hoping injuries and suspensions don’t impact our season. We have a tough January fixture list and if we can come through that we will be in a great place for the final run in.

I just want out of this League, it’s draining.

League One is just as daft.

Every point (and goal) is to your benefit in such a division, injuries etc are part & parcel of the game but you have to battle on so no ground is lost. Job done last night and with other contenders slipping (which you all will now & again) it's about getting what you can with whatever performance to stay in the hunt - and I don't mean scenic winter drives!

As someone who follows another L2 promotion candidate, I agree with this assessment completely. All a side needs to do is go on a winning streak and they'll wrap it up. Similarly, a losing streak like Bristol had and you drop like a stone and start panicking about trips to Boreham Wood!

League 2 sucks so badly!

Trying to find the difference between a lemon and a lime

Very good realistic sense after that game & putting it all into perspective for the coming months. He's a proper football bloke which the players will love.

Without doubt the players love him.
Treats them like adults and sets the standards.

Who do you follow mate?

Blue kits got washed with the red kits and came out a funny yellow.
You know like the old days when the parents washed the kits.🤣

When someone like IH gets a group of players he appreciates it's reciprocated and shows in results i.e. work hard, do the right things and improve your standing in the game. As I've posted before, he'd be dream to play for if you do what he asks. His subtle press comments about games/players underline that.
