If he was a sunderland player today, he’d be starting I think.
He’s better than Mundle & Adingra for me.

Not worth 15/20m upgrade.Still a better player than Mundle.
He’s barely played in his real position there. Then when he does and doesn’t score or have a good game he’s out. They were never going to play to his strengths like we did, it was another clue in the wtf are you doing before the move.Surely he looked at their squad and the way McKenna plays (and never deviates from) before the move? Davis will always be his left wing back.
He's not better than Mundle, especially at the defensive side of things. If he was a sunderland player today, he’d be starting I think.

Absolutely nothing in his career suggests hes better than Adingra and hes 2 year older. If he was a sunderland player today, he’d be starting I think.

Exactly mate. One of McKenna’s main gameplans is getting Davis down the left and crossing the ball. He’s barely played in his real position there. I wouldn't have him back largely because he couldn't wait to get away. Was looking for a move a year before he went but was persuaded to give it another year. Think we can do better now.Not worth 15/20m upgrade.
The clubs ambition is far higher than some fans

Just as bad as with former managers hahaThe SMB obsession with bringing ex players back.
I dint thunk he thought he was beyond us, it was a chance to have a crack at the prem, chances like tgat don't come round too often and he had to take his chance.Bloke wanted to leave and thought he was beyond Sunderland.
Funny how that turned out.
Couldn't believe the amount of people on here who managed to kid themselves into thinking that Clarke had no role in Harte publicly stirring the pot. Harte is a weapons-grade knacker but there's no way that he makes the sort of comments prior to the opening game against Ipswich a couple of years back without Clarke being happy for him to do so.I wouldn't have him back largely because he couldn't wait to get away. Was looking for a move a year before he went but was persuaded to give it another year. Think we can do better now.
Ipswich would struggle to get their money back given that he's a bit part player for them.
I like Mundle but he's rarely shown anything like what Clarke did. Clarke also rarely missed matches. Not writing Mundle off though.Clarke’s work rate for us was exceptional.
