Any changes for the 4th Test

Says the person posting comments like tik tok you know exactly what you are doing have a good night.

So I'll take it you're a complete liar who posts shite for a reaction (which to be fair you got), however you've made yourself look very stupid on here which to be fair the majority of regulars already knew, but nice to out you as a complete liar. Completely out of your depth when it comes to debate.

You post tik tok to get a reaction, remember when you accused me of lieing about a bet and you properly got shown up.

I posted tick tock purely trying to hurry you up to post the evidence you accused me of.

I think myself and the rest of users on here will just come to the conclusion that once again you're talking complete utter drivel. It's little wonder people don't take your views seriously on here, you don't help yourself. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but when you accuse and fail to back it up, it makes you look stupid and a complete liar.

You've shown yourself up tonight... again

A liar like what you accused me of before and got made to look very silly.

Either way let a new player bat down the order to find their feet
I've always recommended that at any level of cricket - if you're stepping up a level it's common sense to make the transition as smooth and easy as possible.
I'm also amazed at this obsession of selecting players at a very young age who obviously haven't even reached their full county potential. What's the rush?I
Invariably they fail, are discarded, labelled not good enough and never given another chance.
Many proven test players failed at their first attempt e.g. Barrington, Graveney, Amiss... Now I'm showing my age😀.
Likewise- utilise the past greats in selection and coaching e.g. Vaughan, Anderson, Swann, Stewart.
Key is our current past great🤔

At this point I don't really give a fuck who plays.

Winning would be hollow but hope we can somehow at least win 1 of the final two.

Ideally I'd like 3-1 and a couple of Root centuries as opposed to 3-2 which papers over cracks and inevitable moral victory jokes.

Yeah that’s why I still think despite his average been better at 4 than 3 that Root should bat at 3.

It’s extremely hard to keep putting new people at 3 and them keep failing.

It’s unfair too, even greats like Ponting started at 6 and moved up.

It's slightly risky but he has to do what is right for the team. Williamson bats at 3 for NZ, Smith moved up to open when Warner retired, greats like Kallis and Ponting moved to 3.

Absolutely they has to come a point when after you have tried player after player and they have keep failing at 3 that you promote your best batsman just one place.

And give a debutant a fighting chance down the order.

And think that point has arrived with England

The only argument against is that he scores so many runs at 4 then why disrupt him? I personally think it is quite a poor argument, the needs of the team should come first and he is usually in when the ball is new anyway. He is such a good player, he'll score runs anywhere.

Yeah totally agree what has to be taken into account as well is that some or a lot of his scores at 3 were earlier in his career, where now he knows his game inside out.

It can’t be argued even in the slightest that he is the most technically capable of batting 3 of all our batsman by a mile

He knows his game better now, is a better player now and more importantly the team needs him there now.

The team has to come first

Root moved tp 3 and literally carried the top 7 under the last 18 months of his captaincy

Anyone brave enough to guess the 4 man bowling attack alongside Big Ben .A point for each right answer with the winning prize likely to be How to play the forward defence correctly and at the right time.I'll start with
Josh Tongue
Gus Atkinson
Jofra Archer
Brydon Carse
No room for Will Jacks other than a batsman in front of Smith 7 and Stokes 6

Just noticed that Jeffrey is ruled out for the rest of the series so Brian is likely to bat at 8 and provide the on field buffet
