SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

Just spotted this.

Anyone any idea what the red and white panels are at the back? Yes, they're red and white panels etc, but are they new too? Would look canny all the way round.
I said this on Derby day as I hadn’t noticed them before. Then I realised you can’t see them during the match when the fans are in, I was just earlier than usual. So they could of been there a while

Better quality seats. The middle of the east stand at the ssol is fine, better quality seats there
All coloured plastic fades with time even white but if you buy quality seats the fading takes longer to show! The fading seats are a reminder to me how far we have come since those dark days of the charlie and don Charlatan era....

There basically no way to stop the fading but you can slow it down and mask its effects by ..buying quality plastic seats .adopting a random pattern (rather than a single block of colour)perhaps with red, white, black ,and possibly blue or yellow seats in a haphazard pattern so you dont notice the fade ....or you could cover the seats between games but that would be costly in money and manpower and finding storage space.

Personally i think the use of a haphazard pattern is the way to go but i do get why many don't like that option..but those white clownshoe corners need to go asap!

It's what the bang on.

Need something to moan about.
Of course, I always thought it was the metal signs on the executive boxes but probably is that also.

Put a black cat as the seats on the part of the ground that fades the quickest and keep the rest red

Don't care about new seats , it's full any way so no one sees them
I never got that argument if im being honest ... it is very true that if its full you cannot see the seats but the sol represents the club the community and the city and if your showing businessmen ,investors or prospective players around the magnificent sol and the first thing you see are banks of old faded seats like a run down non league club it does not give a good impression in my book ....Its basic 101 stuff project quality and pride in your environment is far better than a "it will do spartan attitude" of its fit for purpose,"whats your issue mate".

Little known fact these days, but Willow's big break in 1990 were the public address installations we completed to a few football stadiums.

So it is fitting that one of the last installations completed in my tenure as Managing Director was the North and South stand LED displays at Sunderland Football Club.

I'd like to thank Chris Ferguson at who managed this complex installation at the club, for his project assistance, and a special thanks to and his team of exceptional specialist engineers.

And finally and for the amazing LED.
