Right chew on getting a decent train to/from York for the derby. Direct trains via Newcastle or a change and a 1 hour wait in Thornaby

I paid £6.70 for the 10.29 LNER a few days ago. Thing it was £8.50 for the return part, but I'm getting a lift back. Trainline/Trip don't show it - but the TPE site does, weirdly.

They are terrible for cancelling trains too. I wouldn’t want to be relying on them to get me there at that time.

What’s the website that tells you the number of carriages on a train? I’m catching the first one out of Hexham and assuming it’ll be packed.

We're on the 9.50 from Hexham. Would make life easier if was direct!
