ID checks for away tickets

This is all I’m saying.

As it’s a rule that is roundly ignored, it’s not fit for purpose so let’s just get rid of it and allow anyone with an away ticket to give it to whoever they like. Then everyone is happy.
don't stress.
Like on motorways where they have a 40 limit on at midnight and I can't see any cars for miles. I'm not going to petition to change the speed limit. I just ignore it
.

We also agree. Amend the rules to allow people entitled to tickets give them to whoever they want.
No need to amend.
Just carry on , using common sense.

Strangely, I was at Cheltenham as I have a mate who lives that way and his local is run by a couple of MLFs.

Go to the games in the shit times rather than choosing to watch it on tv because you can’t be arsed to go, go to Bristol rovers under Parkinson , drive to Swansea there and back in a day, watch us get wholloped off Rotherham, Bolton etc and go back for more, then you won’t be arsed about the rules

This.

Those who went to Bristol Rovers, Swansea, Rotherham, Bolton etc. have earned the right to purchase tickets and do what they want with them.

Club threatening to remove points from if they give them to their mate is out of order.

Rule needs scrapping.

.

The issue is people being afraid of ID checks etc.

If the rule isn’t needed, no harm getting rid of
It.
You petition to get rid of it then.
It seems hard work and I'm lazy and like the majority don't really care
Most of us know that there are loads of stupid rules for the stupid to follow
We all know this. If you have common sense ignore the daft rules
I bought alcohol for my kids before they were 18 for them to take to parties etc.
When you're trying to get the rule changed for tickets , change that one too, as nearly everyone does it

Im enjoying watching the footy on iptv. Make that legal to watch too. TIA

Club are looking at ways to amend current system but making it worse for fans who go via branches? So you’re saying the current system isn’t fair? Fair few including me think it is fair.
Yet you want the club to change it so it makes it unfair on the lads who followed and put in the miles in the dark days of league 1 and go via brnaches? Doesn’t make sense mate Do you realise how much work goes into the branches ensuring people who wanted/deserve tickets get there’s.
They aren’t checking tickets bought through Branches mate

You’re probably right.

Acquaintance of mine lives out in the country and he can really hold his drink. He’s always telling me that there’s nowt wrong with him driving back from the pub on the quiet roads after closing.

These rules that Bore Park think we all should adhere too…

Imagine adhering to the no alcohol to be consumed before entering a football stadium rule….

Good luck, another pointless rule which will never been enforced or if they don’t like the look of your face…

It’s really difficult with you- sometimes I think you may be being deliberately obtuse.

I am NOT advocating that people adhere to any particular rule- I am saying the club should GET RID of the rule which stops fans transferring away tickets and allow them to do whatever they want with them.

You (and a few others) seem to be making the argument that people should be able to do what they want with their ticket, but under no circumstances should the club rules allow them to do that. It just makes no sense.

Incidentally, there is no rule stating that no alcohol can be consumed before entering a football stadium but keep telling yourself there is if it makes you feel rebellious.

I am unaware how branches distribute tickets, but I would imagine they provide the names to the club of who got them.

If you have acquired a ticket through an official source and attend the game, you have nothing to fear.

If you have acquired a ticket through an official source then passed it on because you had no intention of attending, but every intent of gaining the loyalty point for the Mags away or another high demand fixture, then you deserved to have your points cancelled.

There you go
Some people have no common sense
Seems like you're one of them.
No wonder you're getting so worked up
Read it again. I was talking about an acquaintance.
@BarnesPark having a meltdown about tickets when hes barely at the SOL and gets his away tickets from other people. Happy to abuse the system himself when it suits.
Not really having a meltdown- just trying to understand the mysterious logic of the SmB

On one hand, people are telling me that they should be able to do whatever they want with “their” ticket.

On the other hand, the same people are saying that there needs to be a rule banning them from doing this.

I’m hoping someone can explain this to me but it appears people can’t and just resort to personal abuse. Maybe you can help.

I started reading this thread again last last night, You have went from a full on rant about the tickets rule being a minority, then being shocked about how much it is being abused but having no evidence to support this mass abuse of the system, now @Wearside Wanderer II has spun you so much that you're now advocating getting rid of the rule altogether.

Its no wonder posters are ripping you to bits.

It’s quite a unique thing on here, but it’s called accepting an argument. A lot in here will choose a side and stick with it regardless- I like to think I am listen to opinions of others and draw conclusions.

As it turns out the overwhelming number of people
On here think that people should be able to do what they want with “their” away ticket, it seems only fair that they shouldn’t risk losing BCPS while doing it.

The issue now is the posters who were advocating freedom and now fighting to keep the restrictive rules.
